Great flavor
This sausage has great flavor. It’s easy to prepare. Great texture. Great for pasta dishes or gumbo. It’s not salty like most Cajun products are.

Nice flavor, not just spice/heat
I was pretty impressed by this sausage because I usually find the hillshire farms sausages to be okay but not great. Maybe I was just in the mood for this in particular, but I think it's got a really good flavor and a good amount of spice. It's not just plain boring spiciness for the sake of being hot, It's got a good blend of herbs, garlic, pepper and heat spiciness.

Dependable option for my gumbo
I always use this for making gumbo. It’s flavored well and doesn’t ever have any weird ‘bits’ in the sausage that give me the heebie jeebies. It’s a perfect amount for a pot of gumbo along with a pound of chicken breast.

Inedible
I bought 2 of the Hillshire Farms Andouille Sausage and tried to eat one. I cooked it in a pan with water. The water changed color to greasy red. Should’ve thrown it out then, but so wanted to like this. BIG MISTAKE. The sausage was ghost pepper hot and I wound up throwing the other half out. Now I’m stuck with another package in the freezer that I wouldn’t even give to anyone. Never again.

The best EVER!
This sausage is hands down the best ever! The cajun seasoning is bold, smokey, with a hint of heat! My family won't eat any other brand.
