    Ideal as a warmth layer

I bought this for a lightweight, yet warm, layer for an Alaskan Cruise. I have worn this under my rain jacket. It is soft and lightweight, but very warm. When I have gotten too warm, I have just taken it off and stuffed it in its sack and carried in my day pack. That is very convenient. I did discover that it is best to have long sleeves on when wearing it. Otherwise, if you get too warm and start to sweat, the jacket fabric sticks to your arms.

    Not Worth The Money

I did not love this jacket. The material was nice, very lightweight. However, the boxy way it fit was just awful! Absolutely no shape at all. Also, the sleeves have a thin band around them at the wrist. I like a better finish. I wear 2x and this fit like a 3x.

Smelled rotten, did not survive one trip

Let me start by saying I love this coat so much. It’s light it’s packable it’s beautiful. I really wish it would’ve worked out for me. If it’s wonderful and it kept me super warm in early march in Scotland. However, when I first received it, it smelled horrible like a dead animal smell. When I reached out, Lan-anh offered a refund or an exchange, but there wasn’t any more left in this color or size and I really liked it so I thought I’d try a specific down detergent first. Using the special detergent and following the instructions fixed the smell!! I took the coat on 17 day trip from the United States to Edinburgh. When I pulled the coat out again last week. (May 7-9, 2026) there were several feathers leaking out. There was one small rip in the coat, 1 inch and width straight across which, leads me to believe that it ripped somehow. There are two other small areas where the feathers were just poking through the fabric. Land Zan has refused to repair or replace my coat because it’s over 90 days from my purchase date. I’m very disappointed again because I love this coat but the quality just seems lacking. It should be more durable than this. And to know the coat is big on me. It’s not tight at all.:( this is a great product because it’s light impeccable, but unfortunately, I won’t be buying from them again

    Downy softness

Very plain with no bells or whistles, but soft and lightweight but warm enough. Great for layering. I love the feel of wearing down without any heaviness.

    Just perfect for the job.

Exactly what I wanted and on sale! Light as a feather and warm, my perfect dog walk jacket. Had a similar one years ago that can now be retired, this one has slightly longer sleeves which is even better.

Great Coat for Travel-Sleeves Come Up Short

I've had this coat for a while now and overall, I really like it. it's great for travel. Packs down nicely, it's warm but not hot and I love the slimming diagonal stitching in the front. They should consider putting it in the back, also.. I also like that it comes down to hip length and the back is a little longer. The hood is warm and comfortable. It's lightweight enough that I can pair it with the packable rain jacket when it's really cold or windy. What I don't like - the sleeves are short and they need cuffs. I do not have long arms but they aren't quite long enough. Were it not for the sleeves, I'd give this coat 4-5 stars. They just have loose elastic at the wrist. Cuffs would be so much better. So if I'm wearing anything long sleeved under the coat it sticks out further than the coat and cold air comes in the sleeve. Seriously - add cuffs! I think an inside pocket would be a huge improvement. There's the packing pocket on one side but it has no function other than as a stuff sack. Just turn it 90 degrees and it could act as a pocket, too. You can't put anything in it since it opens on the side. The stuff sack does not have any fastener so when I stuff the coat in it, you have to tie it then it's hard to untie. I added a pressure clip and that works great but would've been a good design feature.

    Great for travel

Purchased this 2 weeks ago for an upcoming trip to Europe. Purchased for being "packable." Tried it in the cold NJ weather & it was very comfortable. It will be easy to pack & will be good for layering if needed as we travel through the year & different climates. Only problem is that the sleeves are a little short on me (I'm 5'6").

    Generally great, but inconsistent sizing

The quality is good and the jacket is definitely warm and lightweight. However, sizing is inconsistent. I bought 2 of these "packable" down jackets from Lands End this season (different styles), both in the same size. The first one fit OK but snug around my hips; however this second one is at least 6-8 inches too big around the hip. Same size. I will keep it since I don't want to risk getting one that is too small. But I am a bit disappointed by the inconsistency.

    Disappointed

A little disappointed, some of the pockets at the back are very short of filling and in one place the filling is starting to come out.

    Really disappointed!

I absolutely loved this jacket! The fit was perfect and although it was super lightweight it was wonderfully warm. The disappointment came when I laundered it. Even though I followed the directions to the letter, the down fill clumped all on the inside and was no longer insulating. I am so very disappointed as it’s a beautiful jacket!

Over priced for an occasional pop on coat.

Overly priced for the finish of this coat.Cuffs are just a bias binding edge very loose allowing drafts up the arms. The zip is back to front (zips up opposite to normal) It reminds me a coat made purely as a clearance item to attract people to the companies website. It is However lightweight & will be perfectly okay as a secondary pop jacket thingy to pop in a suitcase.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review We are sorry that you were so disappointed with this Down Jacket for various reasons, especially the zip. We are sorry to hear about your frustration with the zip and think that it may be just a clearance item. I can understand how this detail would be unexpected and we appreciate the opportunity to address it. As it was sourced from our parent company in the USA. As you pointed out, the zip orientation differs between the US and the UK. In the US the Women's coats are designed to zip in the opposite direction compared to UK. This has been consistent in our product range, but we recognise that this may cause confusion for customers like yourself who prefer the traditional UK fit. Unfortunately, due to manufacturing constraints and the global nature of our business, it’s not currently feasible for us to change the design of these coats specifically for the UK market. I want to assure you that your feedback is valuable, and we will take this into consideration as we continue to evaluate how we can better cater to the preferences of all our customers.

I have a shorter version of this coat that I bought last year. I like this one as it goes lower on my thigh, warmer, was perfect at the cemetery for my father's burial.

Very nice but sleeves too short.

I love everything about this jacket except that the sleeves are too short. I have average size arms and have never had this problem with a jacket in the past, so this seems to be a design flaw. I purchased 1X. The color is lovely and it's very warm yet lightweight.
