Gel Blaster Portal Smart Target System

Target sold me portals so old they will not receive the update for the new version. It will just say updating until the battery dies. The portals them selves works fine. The software not at all.

I got this for my son and he loved it. He has a blast with his sibling playing.

It doesn't work. No exaggeration. You literally take it out of the box, power it with either batteries or the included cord, then it flashes for eternity. It doesn't react when you shoot it, or even tap it. It. Doesn't. Work. If you, like me, are thinking about getting around this issue using the cooI app they advertise, then think again! I will spare you the months of disappointment I went through with the customer service for this trash; they just gave up stopped replying after a while. Maybe that's why they DELETED THE APP from the Play Store outright. I'm mostly venting my frustration at this point, but if even one person saves their money instead of wasting it on this abject failure, then I can be proud.

Bought three of them, just to find out they don't work with android like they say. Can't even update them on a computer. Very disappointed.

Like the concept, but it doesn't work. The pads have to be updated as soon as you get them out of the box. You can't use them until you do. The problem is that the device doesn't want to be updated. They can't be used with any phone other than current Apple devices. So I had to use my son's phone to try to get the app set up so they could play if I ever got them updated. Hours later, they are updated and STILL useless. They don't respond the way they are supposed to and are constantly glitching. Quiet a number since we bought 3 pads, A starfire s, 4 starfire XL, 10 boxes of gellett blasters, and 4 Gel Blaster- Gellett Depo. The pads were key in this. I have 4 boys from late elementary- college... I was really hoping they would shoot those instead of each other. I wish they would fix the glitch.

I ordered two of these targets, from Target...haha. Unfortunately, neither of them seem to work at all. I tried playing with basic functionality per the instructions and the targets just keep blinking with no apparent response to being shot. Then, I tried connecting them to my phone using the Gel Blaster app and got stuck in an endless cycle of the targets failing to finish updating and was never able to actually get to the point of playing a game using these portals. Thus, for me the product has been a complete waste of time and money.

When we get tired of chasing each other around or you're just warming up and waiting for others, it's nice to just have a target to practice. and some of the games in it are a fun way to keep it interesting and get better

i figured they would get bored of chasing each other around eventiualy ( it did take a while!) but this target and the included games has added a lot more use to the blasters and a good way for the younger ones to get the hang of it!

My kids have been gelblaster fans for a while but I was really blown away by this piece of tech - way more advanced than I expected. Chasing each other around the house/yard was fun while it lasted, but with the app and minigames and new challenges it's added tons of hours of fun to my kids blasters. they track their scores and work on their math skills while they're at it LOL. way to go gelblaster, this little target adds so much to the fun!

This thing is awesome!! Toss the app on an Ipad and you get a scoreboard for a party game. The games they have are super fun. Can't wait to see what they add!!

Hey there, fellow parents! The Portal is a total hit in our household. Sturdy design - the kids are loving it. Quick setup and easy controls make it perfect for family playtime. It's like our own little target challenge, keeping everyone entertained.

Connects easily to the phone app and has a lot of fun game modes! Now my boy can have fun at the house aswell. Even I use it sometimes.

I purchased this target not knowing it was a smart target, my kids found out you can connect it to your phone and i was amazed by the game modes and how it completely changes the playing experience.

Grab yourself a portal, this was such a great addition to our Starfire and night experience fun! They were so engaged and certainly didn't missed their cellphones :D

Its susper fun, has a lot of gamemodes and works with any blaster

We bought two of these and had the backyard rocking with a family competition immediatly! We even got the grand parents involved and it was super cool to see the product connect different generations. We love the glow in the dark blasters so much!

The Portal makes target practice fun! I love that it has a lot of game modes to choose from. Whether you are playing multiplayer or solo, the portal is more fun with more targets, especially if you play Watch Out! Would buy again.
