I like using these for pigtails, they hold well. I was concerned about having too many synthetic fibers in my life since they are kinda invasive. So I did a strand test, and upon contact with flame on a couple fibers separately, the fibers from these ball up and become hard like a plastic textile does. If you look closely, the fibers shine. Not the elastic part, that's definitely nylon or something. Anyway, I wrote this because I feel duped by kitsch.
