A good cheese substitute

Not bad but not great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve tried violife product before but not the cheddar shreds. I was excited to try as we do like cheese and seek alternatives for a “healthier” version. This looks like and feels just like regular shredded cheese. It smells like cheese but not as strong of a scent. The consistency was okay, it did melt on my pastas dish but it was a bit chewy. It’s not bad but not something I’d reach for all the time especially because it’s pretty pricey for a small bag.

Just like cheddar
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did use this as a substitute in a pasta recipe. The appearance before cooking was only slightly different and after cooking no one was able to tell the difference. I think the probing was the same. The flavor was very similar but the texture may have had just a small difference. I will continue to try every once in a while.

Easy to use cheese for any recipe!

They melted very nicely both on top of the enchiladas as well as inside the enchiladas as well. So I’ll definitely be buying these again for other recipes I want to either use again or try in the future. The picture I have attached is one my mom took.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried violife, just like cheddar shreds I was pleasantly surprised by how good they are. The flavor is Rich and cheesy and it’s hard to believe it’s completely dairy free. They melt really well making them perfect for things like nachos, tacos, grilled cheese or sprinkled on top of casseroles would I really like is the texture and taste it smooth creamy and doesn’t have that odd aftertaste that some dairy free cheeses can have it rolls perfectly in the dishes and still gives you that cheddar cheese flavor.

It tasted and even stretched like real cheese. The portion size is great. It is easy to use, the texture is smooth, and the consistency is great. Pretty impressed

I was it sure how good it was going to taste but it is actually good. We used it to make grilled cheese sandwiches and they were very good. The packaging was nice and the color of the product was exactly like actual cheddar cheese. If you’re plant based or vegan, this is definitely a must for you!

Great plant based option
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tired the Violife cheddar cheese and honestly it’s one of the better dairy free cheese options I’ve had. The texture is creamy and as you can see it melts really well, which is a big win because other plant based cheese products don’t melt or blend great. The flavor is mild and has a slight tang, sometimes I even get a hint of coconut as it is one of the ingredients. Over all this was a great dairy free cheese and I would definitely try it again.
