Disposable Paper Napkins - 250ct - up&up™: Dinner Style, Solid Pattern

I have been ordering the dealworthy brand because they cost less but they are a bit rough. I wanted to see if these were better and softer they are. These cost about a dollar more but they are softer and not so rough on my lips and face. I would rather pay more and get a better napkin, these don't tear apart and seen to be a good quality.

As mentioned in my review title, I'm very disappointed because the quality of these Up and Up napkins has steeply declined over just the last few months (it's currently March 2026). They used to be fairly soft and reasonably thick. Now they are thin, rough, and just plain cheap in feel and appearance. Even the flower pattern is more faintly embossed and looks sloppy. At this point these napkins are nearly indistinguishable from the cheapest, lowest quality Target brand napkins sold under the label "Dealworthy." I'm sorry to say I've noticed the same issue with the Up and Up paper towels, which are now thinner and rougher, just like these napkins. And Target has utterly destroyed another product: Up and Up 13 gallon white garbage bags (unscented), which are now thinner, of a volume demonstrably less than 13 gallons (they barely fit my 10 gallon garbage can). And bizarrely, they're now connected on the roll via zipper serrations, so in order to remove one from the roll, you now have to bend down and manually tear them off - and in the process, accidentally rip out the handles at least half the time. It's obvious that Target is trying to increase its profit margin on Up and Up branded items by sneakily lowering the quality... You'll notice the packaging doesn't even note the changes by claiming "new and improved," because that would be patently false. Unfortunately, the reduction in quality is so extreme that these items are now nearly indistinguishable from the cheaper Dealworthy brand. And most of the Dealworthy items are of such low quality that I wouldn't waste my money. Literally - when things are that cheaply made, you end up having to use more, or throw away a bunch of defective ones, so in the end you've actually spent more than if you had just purchased the name brand. I would have preferred if Target had simply raised the price a bit, or reduced the number of napkins (or paper towels or garbage bags) per package, rather than taken a high quality, excellent value product and ruin it. The funny thing is that I preferred the Target brand over the name brand, and I would have paid more for it - so the jokes on Target for failing to notice a good thing when they had it. Now I will reluctantly go back to the name brand, or go out of my way to purchase a competitor's generic brand (Kirkland, anyone?).

By far the worst store brand I ever bought. These are hard as sandpaper and about as absorbent as sandpaper. I have purchased other store brands at other stores and this rates the lowest. Other Target store brands are ok, not exceptional but acceptable. These I will not buy again.

Smells a little "funny". Would prefer no fragrance at all.

These are soft and light but have great absorbency.

I ordered this item at 9:59am on Friday. I did not get an order confirmation until 12:00am Saturday. I had wanted to pick up the order1:30pm on Friday. I could not even view my purchases on the app due to an error message. I glued it is bc we are in Dec. but Target should have at least put a banner on the app saying that it was out of order and they were working on a fix

First time ordering these napkins. Definitely impressed with the quality for the price. Absorbent and sturdy

These are our go to napkins - strong and lots of them, these napkins are a great deal. Always like to keep a batch of them at the ready.

These have recently changed. They used to be great. Now they’re thin and stiff.
