A: For natural stone, this product will likely etch it, as baking soda is very acidic. We have tumbled real stone limestone floors that were sealed three times with a penetrating sealer about six years ago. Over the years, the grout got pretty dirty, and the surface of the tile was looking cloudy in the traffic areas where the sealer was beginning to wear off. I actually used this product to etch/remove the old sealer so we could deep clean the floor and reseal it. While it did what I wanted it to do, (including cleaning the grout beautifully), if I had NOT wanted the Mrs Meyers to remove the sealer, it would’ve been a big problem! But I actually wanted to remove the sealer, so it worked great.After we re-seal the limestone tile, going forward I would use some sort of neutral-pH, super gentle cleaner, NOT this!
