LAVA 14.5" Scarlet Soundwave Novelty Table Lamp

I know the reviews are mixed, but mine came out very clear and flowed well in the space I put it in. I really like this color combo and love how clear the liquid is and how vibrant the red is!

Unlike other reviews, my lamp showed up crystal clear and in immaculate shape! Only thing that I wasn't 100% on was, because the fluid is clear, the yellow from the supplied bulb gives the globe a yellow hue. I swapped it out for a red-tinted bulb, and am loving the results

Tried to purchase 2 and they were both cloudy as heck even though every listing photo shows a crystal clear lamp

Pretty color while it worked. Bulb burned out on first use in 2 hours.

Stopped working less than a year after purchasing.

This is the second lamp I've bought from target. Like the other one, it arrived. Cloudy I cycled it as I should, and still itremain cloudy.

The first one we received..the bulb popped the minute we turned it on. The second one we received was very cloudy and after turning it on...10 minutes later it shut off and won't turn back on. Very frustrating.

First one came very discolored and not how it was supposed to be. Target replaced it, I just recieved my new one and works like it should. My son was very happy

It came slightly cloudy but it cleared up to crystal quality with like 2 weeks of cycling 6 hours on & off. I did paint the base & top - but this lamp has my favorite flow out of all my modern ones!

2 different scarlet sound wave lamps bought from Target online and shipped to me. Both were very very cloudy lamps. Target quality control - 0

First off, this lamp is made by the ORIGINAL company that makes Lava Lamps and that made the "Classic" Lava Lamp. The base and top looked great! I was looking for a plain black base and black cap but this works just a well! Only difference is these have grooves in them like a record. Second I wanted red lava in clear liquid, like the original classic lamp. That's EXACTLY what this is!! All the reviews I read said the liquid was foggy. I think this is just Gen Z not knowing how to properly operate lava lamps. My lamp was absolutely not cloudy in the slightest bit. The red lava and yellowish liquid sort of make it look hazy but that's the colors and the light giving that look. The liquid isn't ACTUALLY cloudy and this is what a red lava lamp in clear liquid is SUPPOSED to look like. I've owned lava lamps from the 80s and 90s and they look the exact same way. Make sure you leave the lamp on long enough if this is your first cycle to properly melt and get situated. Remember it was just jostled around in shipping and lava lamps aren't supposed to be shaken. All in all this is EXACTLY what I was looking for and at a Fantastic price!! 10/10 would recommend again.

The lamp arrived cloudy, and is still cloudy after multiple sessions of letting it run for a few hours. It also got wax lodged in the top on the first cycle despite using the bulb that came with it. Not excited to sink money and time into trying to fix everything that shouldn't even be an issue since the lamp is supposed to be brand new. I don't even have these problems with the older one I have. Very disappointed.

Arrived with two dents on the side if the base. It is made of very thin metal that bends easily. Liquid is foggy after following the instructions.

Very foggy, did not function properly like a lava lamp should.

lamp came incredibly foggy and with wax stuck to the inside of the globe. fluid has not cleared up with several cycles-- some fog is to be expected with any mail order lamp, but this is excessive. incredibly disappointed in my first and quite possibly last target lamp. if i hadn't bought it just to tear it down and rebuild it i would be even more upset than i am.

I've purchased 3 of these lamps, brand new, in the past made over seas and all of them are cloudy. In my quest to find a classic red lava, clear liquid lamp, I am left empty handed. So when I found it here, I was very excited, especially with the vinyl textured base as I am a vinyl collector. Though I will fully admit that I was very appreshensive about the quality of this lamp based on my previous experiences. It is very rare, I would think, if I have purchased 3 very cloudy lamps, that one might receive a proper lamp without the cloudy liquid. I don't know what has changed in the last twenty-some odd years with the formula, but, once again, a cloudy lamp I did receive. Thankfully there are people out there that have found solutions to these issues...there are ways to fix these cloudy liquid lava lamps. So instead of many multiple returns/exchanges, as a DIYer I look forward to fixing the problem, but would rather not have had to go this route. Buyers beware! It is going to be hit or miss when you purchase one of these. You might get a good one....you probably won't. Maybe I'm wrong, but unless you like cloudy lava lamps, you're probably going to be disappointed.

I will admit on first use it took an extra hour to get moving, but once it got going it was great. Working even better on second run (see pics). The base is a solid black with vinyl/record like ridges as described. The lava is bright red (looks kind of pink in the pics, it is VERY red IRL), and slightly translucent which is kinda cool. Great buy and you cant get a better non-sale price for a lava lamp.
