A Great Bike Rack
After doing some comparison research & then reading the reviews about the Fullback 2 bike I decided it was the right rack for my vehicle. It’s sturdy & looks great

Best Bang For The Buck On A '10 Subie OB
Application: '10 Subaru Outback Limited Positives: Price, easy to install, compact storage, fits "regularly" configured older children to adult bikes, no need for a hitch mount, because it's high off the ground no need to worry about clearance when backing into steep slopes that transitions abruptly (versus bike racks on hitches that hang under the bumper) and some short-term security (lock and key included to lock bikes onto the rack; security nylon strap). Negatives: May be better suited for rear windows that are angled as opposed to more vertical rear windows; if you don't read the directions and mount the bottom to your plastic bumper, your bumper may get a dent; this requires a bit of "artistry" to figure out the sweet spot to place the bottom portions of the rack near your license plate area, I'd go for

Works Great!
I got a newer model 2021 Outback so had to upgrade my bicycle rack. Bought this through REI so I could do a curbside pickup. The upper strap clips were missing but Yakima support got them to me pretty much the next day. Once I had all the correct parts, it was easy to fit and install based on instructions and videos. If we upgrade to e-bikes we would need to get a hitch mount rack due to weight capacity. For now, this will work great. It folds easy for storage, but like another poster mentioned in the heat the locks seem hard to turn.

Yakima Fullback 3 Bike Rack - Elantra N Line 2022
Perfect fit. Super sturdy. Taken it out twice so far and have had no problems. The 2022 Elantra N Line has yet to have a hitch manufactured, and I was tired of waiting for a year. Although trunk racks are not preferred by most, I had no choice but to go for this, as roof racks were too expensive. I have taken it out twice, hitting up 100km/hr on the freeway. Rock Solid. I spent a lot of time reviewing many trunk bike racks, and I am delighted this one worked for me. I have ordered covers for my pedals to avoid scratching the paint while mounting the bike. The bike has minimal sway on the move and does not come in contact with the trunk.

Great But For The Locks
Bought this for my '16 Equinox. Appropriate fit. So lid. Strong. Easily secured BUT from Day 1 the locking system is so tough to turn. Eventually with strength, determination and patience I lock and unlock the arms .NO IDEA how to fix the resistance to turning. Any videos don't even hint at a similar problem. Hot weather only makes the locking mechanism tighter. Frustrating.

Fullback 2 Works Well On 2004 Sienna And 2017 Crosstrek But Beware
Overall, it works well. Kind of hard to get two small size gravel bike frames on there but we can make it work with the drop bars of one bike woven through the spokes of the other bike. We haven't used the rack to vehicle anti-theft system bc I haven't been able to get the strap through the slot between the hatchback and the back of either vehicle, though I only tried once. The cord on the rack to bike lock is pretty short but we've been able to use it. The ZipStrips have survived 3 months of regular use and are pretty nice. I'm docking a star bc it's so. freakin. heavy. It makes the hatchback of the Crosstrek slam shut hard if you don't hold tight to it. It doesn't slam the door of the Sienna but be careful closing the door with the rack arms extended. One guy posted a youtube review of this rack and talked about getting hit in the head hard with the rack arms. I thought, "What a moron. I'll never

I have a decent fit on Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. The rack is a lot heavier than my previous rack, however it seems to be made well. I guess time will tell on the ratcheting type moving arms and such. So far , so good.

Fantastic On Subaru Legacy
I bought Fullback 3 used at REI parking lot sale and fantastic on 2015 Subaru Legacy. No problem loading 2-3 bikes. However, tried to install and use on wife's 2016 Toyota Prius and not so easy install and open the hatchback with it on not as easy as Subaru. Still this is my second Yakima bike rack still have my first one just in case I ever go back to an SUV.

Hard No For 2018 BMW X3
I installed the fullback 2 perfectly, according to instructions - hub setting, anchors, positioning on car - even had my bike shop check it when I went to pick up my bikes. Drove around 2 miles before I noticed that the rack looked slightly lower than originally positioned. When I pulled over, I saw that my top rear spoiler had buckled. No photos because I immediately removed the bikes and racks in a frenzy to not cause further damage. Thankfully, the spoiler popped back into shape. So glad I noticed before driving any farther. I'll give the rack a try on my Subaru WRX, but it's definitely not for the X3.

2017 Chevrolet Volt
I was shopping for months/year for a 3 bike rack. My tow hitch was to small for a 3 bike rack, I was too short for roof racks and I did not want to buy a bigger vehicle just to take the whole family out of town to ride bikes. No where on the internet could I fine one that would fit....until I went to REI they suggested I look up my car and see if this rack would fit, to my surprise and relief the 2017 Chevrolet Volt was listed. I immediately ordered it , due to high demand I had to wait a month. When it came, in the REI parking lot I slapped it on my truck. It was perfect. It fits 3 bikes ranging from adult 6ft to a child 4ft. I read reviews a about bending and denying the trunk, I did places it with great car to insure the best results and when I took it off there was no evidence I had even used it. I am very impressed and I love that If I need use it on a different car it will most likely also fit.

Fullback 3/Poor Fit For Volvo V90
I bought this rack for my 2020 Volvo V90 and it is very sturdy however following the directions and only carrying 2 bikes, it managed to crack the back window. The top straps in the recommended anchor position also caused the spoiler to deflect slightly under both straps. The lower support only transferred black residue which was easy to clean off. While it is a very well built bike rack, I would not recommend it for a Volvo V90.

Best On The Market
I just bought this Yakima FullBack 2 for my 2016 Audi A3 and it works and fits GREAT!! I had used a Saris Bike Rack in the past, but it would move around and rattle constantly. The Yakima is snug and doesn't move or make a sound at all. It fits so securely to the trunk of my Audi that I know longer have to worry about losing my bike on the freeway! Great Product!

Fullback 2/Poor Fit For Elantra
Received my Fullback 2 through Etrailer web store. The rack appears to be and is made of high quality materials. The problem arose from the installation directions. I went to the website listed to find the setting for the support bar for my car a 2017 Hyundai Elantra. Website says to set it #2, making sure the the #2 lines up with the notch on the rack, so far so good. Drove about 20 miles with two bikes on the rack, again so far so good. After the ride I wanted to make sure I was putting the bikes on right, as I had left the paper directions at home I went to the website and at this point I see the installation video. Video says to make sure lower support rests on lower edge of the trunk. The paper directions don’t really make this clear that it shouldn’t rest on the plastic bumper at all. So for my car the suggested setting the support does rest on the trunk but also partially on the bumper

2019 Civic 4 Door Issues
I bought this from my local bike shop on there recommendation and I love the feel of this rack it feels strong and sturdy but when I put it on my 2019 civic lx it has issues. ( I've had to reinstall it my own way to feel safe putting my bikes on it.) 1 : it is pulling my trunk away from the car even with no bikes on it. 2: it will NOT FIT 3 mountain bikes on it. I have to put the 2nd bike on the spot furthest from the trunk as the pedals and the bars and the derailleur rub and get stuck through spokes!!!! 3: the bikes I have weigh 30 and 32 lbs and with both of them on the rack the rack arms sag and the bikes bounce quit a bit. 4 : I put the rack on per the paper instructions and per the video instructions and the bikes are really close to the ground and sticking way out the back.

Skip This Rack For Hatchbacks
I've run into a lot of trouble similar to the above review. The utmost problem being that the lower support put dents(!) in my bumper. I can't open the hatchback if the rack is on, which is obvious in retrospect. It's really a pain in the ass to install - really a 2 person job so that the car doesn't get scratched. So not quick to get on and off, but needs to be removed frequently so that I can use the trunk. Maybe this item isn't worthy of the 2 star quality review, but I'm pretty provoked because the fit guide says it works on a Hyundai Ioniq.

Yakima Full Rack
Hi, I am not one to enter reviews unless I feel very strongly positive or negative about a product. I purchased this item in preparation for a cross country drive in early February with two bicycles . I was nervous out of the gate thinking the bike rack could not the 80 mph speeds and weather on the highways. I soon realized that this rack is very sturdy and secure so that allowed me to relax and enjoy the driving. This rack is very secure very easy to mount and easy to load the bicycles. I drove over 5000 miles in many pouring rain days and the trucks blowing me around and at the end of each day everything was secure. I opted to take the bicycles off each night to be safe and loading and unloading took less than 10 minutes. different bicycle frame designs require a little adapting but the secure clamps included worked well. I bought an extra strap just for more security but really didn't need it. The

Great Product
This rack is a great product. The Fullback product was a replacement for the Hollywood 2-bike rack. The Yakima product has a more compact and sturdier design than the Hollywood product. I also like the assortment of available online accessories (purchased separately). Specifically, the Top Tube, 9-ft security cable and SKS key core products which add even more security for my 2 Giant (10-speed, 11-speed) road bikes when traveling.

The Bad For VW Golf Sportwagen
This is a solid rack! Quirky fit on 2016 VW Golf Sportwagen. Here is what I have encountered: 1. Difficulty tightening the top straps-the bottom of the rack rests in a very small section on the hatch, if you tighten the bottom too much you will pull the rack down below the area it needs to rests. 2. I left the rack on the back of the car-it rained and leaked into the car. It appears that having the top straps thread through the hatch opens a gap in the weather sealing making a gap for water to leak into the rear. 3. The security strap cannot be used-it's too big to fit through the top of the hatch. 4. Cannot open hatch with rack on the car. Which doesn't seem like it would be an issue, but when you thread the straps through the top and open the hatch the straps shift and you could do damage to your car. I'm considering returning the rack. I've had Yakima hitch racks on previous cars

This rack is quality; really sturdy and clean looking on the back of a sedan. The problem is if you have ANY kind of modern geometry bike, you have to skip a spot to get 2 bikes on. Even then, it is very difficult to position the bikes. This rack would work great with bikes that have a horizontal top tube and that's about it. Wish I would have bought a rack that clamps down on the tires instead.
