Hi Susan! we are incredibly sorry to hear about the trouble you had with the Captain Underpants set. It is definitely frustrating to be met with a disclaimer instead of the adventures of George and Harold! What you described usually happens when a Tonie hasn't finished its initial download. When you first place a new Tonie on the box, the LED will blink blue while it "grabs" the content from the cloud. If it’s removed too soon, or if the connection is interrupted, it will only play that introductory message. We truly apologize for the inconvenience and would love to help you get these working if you haven't returned them yet! Simply making sure your Toniebox is close to your Wi-Fi router and leaving the figurine on until the light turns solid green usually does the trick. However, if they still won't play, please reach out to our Customer Happiness team at https://support.tonies.com/hc/en-us/requests/new so we can take a closer look at your set.

Missing 1 story
We only got 3 of the 4 stories, which sucks to pay full price for not the full product. Missing the "and the invasion of the incredibly naughty cafeteria ladies..." Went to "fix an issue" with target and whether I ask for a full refund or a replacement product, I'd need to return the original. Which isnt a problem, but since it was an Xmas gift my son ripped the packaging open and not sure target will take it back to replace.

Must have wifi to listen
Got these for my kids for a road trip, thinking they’re like the tons of other tonies we have…nope. You have to have WiFi to listen to them, so they couldn’t use them until we were back home.

Not to worry, Tonies are able to play their content on the Toniebox without a Wi-Fi connection, as long as they are fully downloaded onto the Toniebox. Here's how: 1) While the Toniebox is connected to a Wi-Fi network, you can place a Tonie on top of the Toniebox to begin the download process: 2) When a Tonie that has not been downloaded before is placed on top of the Toniebox, it will begin downloading its content.

No screen time !
My 6 year old grandson, who has a big preference for iPad time, doesn’t even ask since I got him this set of Tonies. He grabs the books and reads along while listening to the Tonies. He likes hearing the few words he can’t sound out and is proud to finish the book all by himself. I got several more for the two year old and some for the 4 year old, and now the box is being used more than ever. Thanks so much for the great level of entertainment these Tonies have given to us!

Excellent Audiobook series!
My son has listened to these books non-stop for the past month that we have had these audiobooks! I am hoping (begging!) tonies keeps releasing the additional books in the series! This has sparked a new love of reading and following along with the book.

We purchased this from Target online and it shipped quickly and we received it in about 5 days. The packaging was nice and includes 4 captain underpants audiobooks. We got these for our 5 year old. The size is perfect for little hands and will be easy for him to use with his tonie box. The quality seems great and we are very happy with our purchase so far! Great for older kids
Love that there is about 4 hours of audiobook content. There are 4 different books in this set. My family is a big tonies fan and have been using the Tonie Box for a while now.
