I was looking into alternative guest bed options since I've reached the point where friends would rather sleep on the couch than an airmattress, but alas I have but 1 couch. I sleep on a futon myself, and so I'm not a stranger to floor mattresses, but a proper futon was out of my budget for a guest bed, and much heavier to move out and pack away. This mattress expanded to fit its shape almost instantly. It effortlessly folded up and was so light to carry around. And laid out flat it was increadibly comfortable, I couldn't feel the ground at all. For full transparancy I am 5'2" and ~120lbs, so I can't speak to how it would hold-up to substantially more weight. But to me it felt like sleeping on a memory-foam mattress (so perhaps not for those who'd like a firmer bed.) My only, complaint isn't the right word - observation? Is that it's a bit misleading to imply this would work comfortably as a couch. That same softness that makes it ideal for sleeping, makes you sink into the piece far too much for comfortable sitting. Also, it keeps the width of whatever mattress when folded for storage. So it will take up a decent amount of space folded. Less than a full mattress, more than an aimattress. Still, perfect for my needs.
