Great set
My child loves using this set for coloring and drawing, the variety and quality of colors is fantastic and they are quite durable. They do require a manual pencil sharpener. Overall they make for some nice art projects.

Rich color payoff, smooth blending, and top-qualit
I absolutely love the Prismacolor Premier Soft Core Colored Pencils! The pigmentation is amazing — colors are rich, vibrant, and smooth on paper. They blend beautifully, making it easy to create gradients and soft transitions. The texture is buttery and creamy, which helps a lot for layering without damaging the paper. The range of shades is impressive, and the packaging keeps everything neatly organized. Perfect for both professional art projects and relaxing coloring sessions.

Don’t bend just blend
The blend-ability is next to non I’m dyslexic so at first I thought it said bend-ability and the first 3 snapped. After realising it said blend-ability I got out my blendtec blender and what do you know it blended into fine dust

Great quality and blendability, just a bit pricey
The Prismacolor 150 set is honestly amazing to use. The colors are super rich, they blend so easily, and there’s a ton of variety to work with. The pencils feel solid and hold up well even after a lot of sharpening. My only downside is the price—it’s definitely on the higher end—but if you draw a lot, the quality really shows.

Best pencils that are not over the top expen6
Packaging is inviting and straight forward. Love the variety of colors. The pigmentation as well as blend ability is outstanding. Majority of pencils are durable but a few do come in with a difficulty with sharpening.

If your priority is smooth blending, expressive layering, and a wide palette, this set is often regarded as one of the better mainstream artist-grade colored pencil options. But it demands a gentle hand: press too hard or sharpen roughly, and you risk breakage or inconsistency. For archival or display work where fade-resistance is critical, you might want to check how lightfast the specific colors you’ll use are (or consider using a “lightfast only” line).

✨ The Best Colored Pencils I’ve Ever Used!

I love how creamy the texture feels — it makes layering and shading so easy. The huge variety of shades lets me create any look or mood I want. Truly excellent pencils
I have been using Prismacolor since I was in college. They are wonderful pencils that are strong and easy to use. They sharpen quickly and neatly, without leaving little splinters everywhere. The extreme variety sometimes makes it hard to pick a color, but I always end up with the right one. The pigmentation is strong so the colors come out bold and vibrant.

Prismacolor Premier pencils blend smoothly, have v
I’ve had my Prismacolor Premier set for years, I actually begged my mom to get them for me back in middle or high school and they’re still the best colored pencils I’ve ever used. I used them on a drawing I did on some canvases, and honestly, they blended so smoothly. I even mixed them with markers for some parts, and the pencils still layered beautifully. What I really love is how easy they are to use, even if you’re not a professional artist. The colors are super vibrant, they blend really nicely, and there’s such a huge range to choose from. They just make creating art feel fun again. If you’re looking for colored pencils that feel soft, rich, and blend like paint I totally recommend these. They’re worth it and last forever.

A must have for art school or the art enthusiast!
As someone who relied heavily on Prismacolor pencils throughout art school, I can confidently say they are in a league of their own. These pencils were more than just a tool—they were an extension of my creativity. The blendability is where they truly shine. Colors melt seamlessly into one another without that waxy buildup or patchiness that cheaper brands tend to leave behind. One thing I always appreciated was the lack of smudging from pencil shavings—something that might seem small, but makes a huge difference when you’re working on detailed or time-sensitive pieces. The pigment are rich and vibrant, with a finish that makes every color pop off the page. And unlike some other pencils, Prismacolors layer beautifully. With or without the use of water! (CHECK OUT THEIR WATER COLOUR OPTIONS!!!).
