Oh, Brothers, Where Art Thou!
The box the TN-420 toner cartridge comes in includes a document with installation instructions for your printer. And including this link: http://www.brother./original/index.html for instructions on how to return the used toner cartridge to the Brother Collection program. I entered the link into my browser's search bar. On the page that opened, there was NO information on how to return a used toner cartridge or a link to it. "Oh, by the way," you could take the used cartridge to a store that sells the cartridge. My experience has been that the stores I purchased them from don't recycle them. Please discard the used toner cartridge in accordance with your local regulations, keeping it separate from domestic waste. Toner cartridges are not included in the list of items we can place in our recycling bin for pickup by a waste company once a week. Why aren't the manufacturers of plastic items responsible for recycling them? Why is the consumer responsible for attempting to recycle them? At present, 99% of the seafood we consume contains nanoplastics, and by 2050, there will be more plastic in the oceans than fish. Nanoplastics are in our food and water. We have nanoplastics in our brains about the same amount as in a plastic take-out food spoon. Oh, Brothers, Where Art Thou!

Horrible experience
Only prints about 500 pages even though pages were mostly text say 95% of them

We understand your Brother TN420 cartridge did not last long. We'd like to help. The stated page yields for genuine Brother cartridges are based on the ISO testing standards. The number of pages that can be printed with a cartridge is affected by several factors, including paper size, number of pages per print job, amount of print on each page, font size, and print content (graphics, charts, etc.). Print jobs with large text fonts, graphics, charts, and/or large amount of solid coverage (black or any given color) will use much more toner and will shorten the life of the toner cartridge. I was amazed at the claim of the 1200 copies. I recently counted each of the copies from day one of the toner, and when the toner light showed up I had only done 220 copies. These were not in the toner save mode. The tn450 version claims 2600 possible copies. Reality is simply not present. Otherwise, my HL2240 is fine.

How do I recycle in Canada?
How much time do you waste trying to find the printing label on the Brother.ca website as the instructions for recycling on the cartridge box suggest? has the website moved/changed? U.S. recycles only? i will recommend other products if anyone can suggest they support their products better than Brother. Very poor.
