Coating on bowls scratches off easily
I used one time and each time my spoon would lightly tread the bottom of the bowl to spoon my soup, it would leave black scratches on the bowl. The coating on these bowls comes off. It’s dangerous to eat that! Don’t get these.

Coating scratches instantly
Cleaning the very first time with a gentle scrubbing sponge leaves many scratches - mostly I am worried about eating the coating. The coating is very thin so the grey pottery shows through. Is this safe?

Keeps Food Hot
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the simple, clean look of these bowls. They are the perfect size. They have weight to them without being too heavy. They nest together nicely for easy storage. They wash up easy and are dishwasher safe although I usually just wash them in the sink because food doesn't really stick to them. My favorite part about them is that because they're stoneware, my food stays hot longer.

Fantastic Quality!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I could not love these bowls more! Such great quality - hefty and sturdy stoneware. Holds nearly 3 cups. Perfect size for a hearty bowl of soup. Or better yet, a bowl of my delicious spicy sausage pasta fagioli (pictured). I chose the color beige, and it's so beautiful and contemporary. Though I never use my microwave to reheat things, these bowls are microwave safe. As well as dishwasher safe. And I love that these are made in New York City! I definitely plan to buy other pieces from JoyJolt.
