Less than 4”
It’s been more than 48 hours, I have the pad out of the cover and the pad is at exactly 3” of thickness, not 4” as advertised.

Failed to expand to the full 4 inches
Six days after removing the foam pieces from the vacuum packaging and laying them flat on the floor, they failed to expand to the full 4-inch thickness. Some corners are noticeably crooked, as shown in the attached picture. The return process requires the original packaging, but it is impossible for customers to reseal them in the vacuum packaging. Considering there were 24 other positive reviews for this product, there’s roughly a 4% chance you might end up wasting your time and money.

Sturdy, Versatile and Comfortable
What a wonderful mattress. I purchased it to use in my camper as a chair/bed. The mattress was a bit firmer than I expected, but still very comfortable. The cover is amazingly sturdy and resists stains quite well. A really great option for comfortable seating and sleeping in a small space. Would repurchase!

Really like it
I ordered this on the positive reviews I read online. It arrived quickly and was easy to set up. I made a mattress pad out of a queen size that I sewed so that it functions like a pillow case. Then I made a sheet out of a twin size top sheet that I also sewed up into a pillow case form. After slipping the tri-fold mattress into the mattress pad and the sheet I tried the bed out and really think that it will fit the bill for camping in a van this summer. The pillow case format will keep the pad and sheet from slipping around as I toss and turn during the night. And it will also make it easy to slip off and launder when needed. I just ordered a second mattress for someone else who saw mine and wanted one for himself.

Worked as Temporary Bed
I was moving out of state and needed to sleep in my mostly empty house for a couple weeks. I cannot get a good night’s sleep on an air mattress so I started looking at tri-folds and Milliard seems to have the best track record. My only negative comment is that this mattress arrived later than expected so I had to sleep two nights on a 1.5” very firm exercise mat which was extremely uncomfortable. When the Milliard mattress arrived, I let it expand the rest of the day (maybe 6 hours) and slept on it that night (it appeared well expanded). I laid it on top of the exercise mat for a little extra padding, all on a hard floor. The difference was huge and I slept well. There was absolutely no smell. I am a small person, and while the single would be too narrow for longer term use, it is fine for now. I chose the single so I could lift and carry it easily, and so it would fit in the car better with all the last minute stuff for the final moving trip. I am very, very happy with my purchase.

Perfect for van camping.
4" was thick enough for 2 adults sleeping on a plywood base. The Sides of the foam easily accommodated one place where the vehicle wasn't quite as wide as the mattress. Quality of construction looks very good so far. It was remarkable to see how much the foam was compacted for shipping, and how quickly it returned to its natural shape once released. As advised, it's important to let it air out for a day or two before using. It will also be a handy "spare bed" at home as needed.
