Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

    Ripped apart

    Poor quality denim, the pants have pulled apart where the back pocket meets the seat of the jeans on both sides after only a handful of wears/washes. I’m very disappointed in the quality of these jeans. My daughter is not a rough player and has never had problems with pants coming apart on her like this.

    I like them!

    I like that these have back pockets with buttons, they don't reek of toxic dyes, and are 99% cotton! It's so hard to find cotton jeans. These look very nice on my daughter, she is petite for her age, so I sized down, got a size 8, and it's perfect, the lenght is excellent, I think these may run small for other little girls. We love them! I wish they made them in other colors.

    Cut and length are way off. These easily sit above the ankle when standing and end up even shorter if sitting. The sizing in legs and torso is fine, but this length is absolutely terrible.

    Fitted and Flare

    I really like the wash on these jeans and the cute flare at the bottom. They have a nice stretch to them and an adjustable waistband. I didn’t like that they sit very low on the waist. Also, they have a noticeably shorter hem than what my daughter usually wears. I would have liked them to be at least an inch longer.

    Cute jeans

    My 7 year old daughter was so excited to try these jeans on when they arrived! She really enjoyed the flare style and the color of the jean material. She is an average for her age and these were pretty long, so will need to be hemmed.

    These are great!

    Oh. My. Gosh! These jeans are adorable! I love the dark denim color, and the fit is spot on. The waist is adjustable which is great for my growing daughter. She even said they were very comfortable! Win!

    They're okay.

    These are cute, but they run big. I got a 6 as that's what my daughter wears, but they are super baggy on her. The nice thing is they do have the waistband to tighten so they don't fall down. I also feel they are shorter than normal and I don't think they look like flares, they look more like bootcut jeans.
