Sizing is wrong!

Something is totally off with the sizing - like they got something mixed up in the factory for this top. The 36DD is more like a 32C. The cup and band are both wrong. I lined this up against an accurate 36DD in the store, same brand just different style, and you can see the major difference in cup sizes - there’s at least a 1” difference in fabric.

Sizing super off - runs extremely small

Suuuuuper small. If you’re going to buy, size up 1-2 in the back size and at least 1 cup size. I’ve purchased this brand before and have had no issues, but this swimsuit was so weird? The bottoms ran small too. I would probably skip this one. The sizing is off.

Horribly Inconsistent Sizing

I purchased a very similar style Shade & Shore two piece suit last summer and LOVED the quality combined with how flattering it was. I was SO excited to see Shade & Shore release this season’s line with the same styles available in different patterns, so I ordered the size I needed and felt confident based on last year’s sizing. I literally thought I was losing my mind when I tried the top on. The strap was insanely small and the cups—I’m a modest C, and let’s just say, this wasn’t it. Trying on a bad swimsuit is one thing; trying on a swimsuit that should fit and makes you feel like a watermelon wrapped in a rubber band is a next level confidence killer. So I guess there are bonus points for that…in the wrong way. I was so annoyed and confused, so I pulled out last summer’s top and measured the band compared to this purchase—COMPLETE MENTAL REDEMPTION. This season’s band was a full THREE INCHES shorter and the cups fit inside of last summer’s top, which shows that sizing to be way off as well. I love the idea of this top, but I literally have no idea what band + cup size to choose. Do I take a wild guess, throw a dart and see where it lands, or just give up? It’s a roll of the dice, considering the store is sold out of many sizes and I’d have to order a slew of sizes online to possibly be even more frustrated and then have to return them all. This really isn’t that deep, but wow, the top’s sizing is a HUGE sizing miss.
