Q: Why is there no elastic at the waist? My hips are much larger than my waist so I had to sew elastic in myself. Also, I sewed the pockets closed as they constantly would come out in my water class.

Hides the flaws

Im giving 5 stars because the length is great and hides a multitude of embarassing areas. However, the sizing is way off. I normally wear a medium but bought a small because others said they ran big. I am returning and ordering an XS.

Stretchy and Comfortable!

I ordered 2 pairs of this year's Land's End Swim Board Shorts. I went up a size from last year as the old ones fit great when dry but were extremely hard to pull up when wet. These do not have that issue. If anything they are a bit big, but I find them comfortable so I will keep them. Love that they have pockets too.

Perfect Swim Shorts!

I love these swim shorts! The length is great for an early 40s mom with loose skin. I am 5'7, 156 lbs and purchased a size small. I'm generally an 8 in pants, so I would say these may run a little on the larger side.
