Not the best
The vacuum is sturdy and has a great utility handle but the amount of kickback is awful. It is useless on hard surfaces. It also makes some interesting noises when pulling it back. I would definitely buy something different knowing all this now.

Misrepresented. Only 9amp, not 12amp, and does not include the powered upholstry accessory like the description states. At that point, I have no interest in finding out how honest they are with the rest of the specifications nor the warranty.

Great suction/cleaning
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've just recently gotten the Prolux 6000. I haven't had it a month but so far it has met my expectations. It has very good cleaning and suction. It has a very long cord which is good for going to different rooms. My only complaint if you can call it that is that the cord is heavy. Otherwise, everything about the vacuum is good.

Very happy with the quality of the Prolux 6000
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took a little effort to get the product, but once received it is a very good quality vacuum. The only suggestion I have is it would be very helpful if possible to be able to get the instructions in Spanish, even if it is just a downloadable version. Having someone whose main language is Spanish using the vacuum.

A wonderful vacuum!
I am very happy with this vacuum. Makes the rug look so nice. A little heavier than my old Panasonic but is actually easier to use and push. Its great to have the wand to use for pickup in the corners. The cord could have been an extra few feet longer. I like bag vacuums better than the bagless. This was a great choice.

I love this vacuum. Couldn't wait to get rid of bagless vacuum. So tired of the mess. I've had this for 2 years, in my 60s light enough to haul upstairs. Picks up just as good as the first day. The other reviews are correct that the wand comes out of the suction hole, so I just leave it extended and it never comes out. Not noisy until you add the corner attachment. Best suction vac I've ever had, not cheaply made like other vacs.

Nothing beats this Prolux 6000 for our demanding family
I love this strong vacuum. I have gone through a variety of more than half a dozen household vacuums. I have literally tried them all: bagged, bagless, canister, even a Roomba. Nothing lasted, especially not against a Golden Retriever's fur. I have finally found the perfect vacuum. With a detachable hose, tools, and a light, even my nine year old doesn't mind vacuuming and actually finds it enjoyable. It isn't too heavy and does a thorough job of cleaning daily. This Prolux 6000 comes highly recommended.

Far superior to Dyson
Great Vacuum easy to clean and all you have to do is replace the bag when full, Dyson you have to dump the dust into a bag and the dust blows all over the place. Not good when you live in an apartment. I am getting rid of my year old Dyson sorry I didn't think of the dust problem before I bought It. I highly recommend this vacuum,

Best purchase ever
I bought this vacuum after I had my carpets shampooed and realized that 4 amps were not cutting it. This vacuum has a whooping 12 amps...look out dirt!!! It is light and easy to carry. The attachment does a great job on the furniture...including cat hair!! I recommend this vacuum to anyone needing a new one.

This vacuum is awesome! So glad I bought it. It is replacing a shark navigator that I thought did a really good job I was wrong. This prolux has soo much suction I can't vacuum my small rugs I have to use the upholstery brush so it isn't sucked up. Love seeing the crumbs and debris being agitated from the carpet before it's vacuumed up. We have 60% carpet and the other 40 is tile. Does great on tile haven't had any problems with it spitting back debris while on tile . It is easy to maneuver and push it's not too loud it's about the same as my other vacuum. Power Cord could be longer as well as the hose. Those are minor things that don't take away from the performance of this vacuum. Easy to put together. Manual does have some typos but pictures are pretty self explanatory overall I give this vacuum an A don't regret this purchase one bit.

After our Hoover Windtunnel died (thank goodness, actually, because I was going deaf using it) I did a lot of online research before spending $$$ on a new vacuum. We have one dog that sheds, and varying carpet plushnesses (is that a word?) in our home. After reading reviews on the Prolux 6000 I thought why not give it a shot. It arrived as promised. The packaging and product was in excellent condition. My husband assembled it with no trouble, even though an owners manual was absent from the package. After contacting the seller directly, the owners manual was emailed to me. The vacuum is easy to use, lighter than I expected, made of less plastic than I expected, which is a good thing, and is so very quiet. I don't need to wear ear protection when vacuuming. The attachments work as promised. I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it. One tip: DON'T run over the cord. I have never in my 30 plus years of vacuuming ever had an issue with accidentally running over the cord. This is the first vacuum I've owned that does suck up the cord, but don't let that little issue dissuade you from purchasing this product.

I had never heard of this brand before and ordering without trying is a bit scary but the prior reviews caused me to take the chance and order. I'm so glad I did. It really picks up the dirt on everything. I've used the dusting tool, the hardwood tool, crevice tool. I haven't tried the upholstery attachment yet but I'm going too! I'm actually excited to vacuum! The beater brush is solid....This is my 1st upright that uses bags but I am delighted that dust is not going to fly back in my face from emptying. The only thing I wish a hose extender was included in the deal. Other than that, I would highly recommend this machine.

Prolux Upright hits all the right specs!
After reading multiple reviews and ratings we decided to take a chance on Prolux as our replacement vacuum. Received our vac in a short time .The quality look and feel was our first good impression. During the quick 'put together' we were impressed with the thought put into the placement of attachments and strength of construction. All that is good, but does it work? We currently have two Bernese Mountain Dogs....read large and hairy! This vacuum does a great job on normal dirt and humongus amounts of hair. The Prolux cleans better than our previous two vacs; a Kenmore Progressive cannister and Dyson Animal Upright This vac is also quieter than either of the others mentioned. Some reports say the vacuum is silent...not true, but it is much quieter. If I have any disappointment, it is that it cannot get under furniture like the Kenmore, but on a par with the Dyson. Can't speak to longevity yet, but can recommend this vac to anyone looking for a top end vac without the top end price!
