External muffler for quiet operation. The user may also remove the external muffler if they wish to hook a hose up for blowing or inflating.

Great product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this Prolux central vacuum to replace my old NuTone one that broke after 18 years. It was easy to install, and I took advantage of the existing pipes. The suction power is very good. I was impressed by how quiet it runs. In my setup, the manual switch to activate the garage mode is a little bit difficult to access. I’d wish to have it at the front of the unit

Great features!

Happy vacuuming
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got my cv12000 really quick from ordering on the website, easy setup, just follow the instructions. Love that I can vent to the exterior since my wife has allergies and this will definitely help alleviate symptoms. We have cats and the nozzle kit works great for all the hair they leave around. The unit is in the basement and the extra port enables me to tidy up down there, don't drag as much stuff upstairs.

Business use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this machine to use in my professional rug cleaning business of 28 years. I use in my shop to pre vacuum expensive wool and persian area rugs. I love the machine. It is much quieter than I expected and has a excellent suction. With the 35' hose reaches anywhere I need and the large bin doesn't have to be emptied after every job.

Very Powerful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this about a month ago and I am very happy with my purchase. Installation was pretty easy since I was just replacing my old unit. I just had a little bit of trouble finding the right reducer pipe to connect to my existing pipes since the size of the central vacuum pipe is not very common so I ended up putting a seal around the reducer which worked great. Also, I had to buy the disconnects wire connectors for the low voltage wiring to attach it to the unit since it doesn’t have the clip ons that you just put the wires into. Overall, The suction is very powerful compared to my old unit. I prefer using this than my regular house vacuum since it picks up more dusts from our carpets.

Quiet yet Great Airflow
We replace our central vac after many years of great service. I love this unit. I can be in the garage when someone is vacuuming in the house without earplugs. Its really quite! In addition it has great airflow. My floor "vac pans" work better than ever.

Not knowing much about the brand I took a chance on the CV12000 based on reviews. It has been about a year since I installed the unit. My initial reaction when opening the box was that of disappointment as the unit said made in China. If that was disclosed I might have chosen a different brand. Overall the construction seemed ok, suction is decent and the dust bin seems easy to empty and clean. My initial observations are that the unit is a bit louder than the Hayden we had and the unit gets quite warm (almost hot) while operating. I also noted that after a few months the power switched seized in the "on" position. I will continue to use the unit but will watch it carefully.

CV 12000 purchase
The purchase of the CV12000 central vacuum unit went smooth and flawless. I am very happy with the price of this Central vacuum. The registration process and paperwork that I received with the machine left me a little disappointing, There was a booklet that required me to send my customer to the prolux website where they could easily see what I paid and had come to there own conclusion that I charged them too much for labor. If I had received a physical registration to hand my customer I think it would be much better. I charged a fair price but some people dont seem to understand you are a business and need to make a profit. Besides what I have stated I am very satisfied so far with the performance of the unit and it is quiet and powerful.

I replaced 18 yr Beam. I took Prolux out of the box and it looks like Beams sister. It has the same motor as Beam. It took me 30 minutes to remove old and install the new Prolux. Great value and great product.
