A: Thanks for your question, Lor. Sensodyne ProNamel Active Shield Fresh Mint toothpaste does not contain triclosan in its formulation.

Q: Why is this item not listed as SLS-free when that's one of the main reasons people buy Proenamel?
submitted by MJ - 5 months ago
A: Great question! All Sensodyne Pronamel toothpastes are SLS‑free. However, retailer websites don’t always list every product attribute unless it is specifically provided in the product feed, so “SLS‑free” may not always appear. You can find further information on our website here: https://www.pronamel.us/

Q: The specs say it's a paste, but the photo looks like a gel. Which is it?
submitted by RJ - 3 years ago
A: Hi RJ. Please note that the only difference between a paste and a gel is the appearance. A gel is more translucent, while a paste is opaque. All Sensodyne toothpastes are designed to be smooth, glossy pastes by definition.
Sensodyne Pronamel Active Shield Fresh Mint Toothpaste is designed to be a smooth, glossy white to off-white paste.
Pronamel Active Shield Enamel Toothpaste is highly regarded for its effectiveness in protecting sensitive teeth and strengthening enamel. Many guests appreciate its refreshing mint flavor and the clean feeling it provides after brushing. While some have noted concerns about taste and texture, the overall consensus is that this toothpaste significantly reduces sensitivity and promotes oral health, making it a top choice for those with delicate teeth.

Pronamel works!
Pronamel was a really good toothpaste. It definitely has a refreshing filling after brushing your teeth, and I’ve been having good conversation with my dentist using this toothpaste and it’s highly recommended. I know there’s a lot of toothpaste out there, but this one’s definitely one of the top three. Actually helps with your enamel. My dentist even says that it’s helped out dramatically, brushing my teeth with this twice a day and of course, flossing twice a day and use a mouthwash twice a day but prom was definitely a good product. I highly recommend it if you’re looking to strengthen your enamel they have total one where it does all strengthen limo whitening fights cavities helps gum, disease, all in one try to look for those. The taste and freshness and texture are amazing.

Plaque, tarter buildup and staining while using this toothpaste
My hygenist recommended this toothpaste due to sensitivity and gum recession. I used it for one year thinking it was what I was supposed to do. Had plaque and tarter buildup like I had never had before. And staining! On my front teeth! Even with Sonicare. At my yearly checkup, dentist said toothpastes react chemically and individually with each person and clearly this one wasn't working and I needed to switch back to the one that was working before.

Best toothpaste! It's great for sensitivity! The flavor is good! It is recommended by the dentist as well, as it is not as harsh as other toothpastes!

tastes terrible
I’m sure it works great, I usually like all Sensodyne toothpastes, but the taste is the worst toothpaste flavor I’ve ever had. It’s like licorice. Not minty at all. Going to try and power through and finish it

hardened
this toothpaste is one of the worst I’ve used from sensodyne. Other reviewer is correct - it has a strong Anise flavor like licorice. Mine hardened after not very many uses and became like thick drywall paste and wouldn’t squeeze out. I am diligent about replacing the cap, so it was bizarre. Will not be buying again.

Disgusting
This toothpaste tastes so disgusting and left my mouth feeling gritty and unclean. I usually like sensodyne but this flavor reminded me of citronella and black licorice.

Caution for those with SLS sensitivities
This toothpaste does not contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), but it does contain the ingredient Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate (SMCT) which, I found out the hard way, can cause the same issues as SLS. They are not as severe as with SLS, but I certainly will not be using this toothpaste anymore, nor any with SMCT. On top of that, the taste is absoltuely terrible.

Best without SLS!
As someone with a sensitivity to sodium lauryl sulfate this is the best toothpaste I’ve found that doesn’t contain it! I bet a lot of people have the same sensitivity as me and just don’t know that’s what it is. It showed up in me with dry scaly patches on the edges of my lips where the toothpaste would touch. Since I switched to ones that don’t contain it they’ve never come back. This paste has a nice mild flavor and the cap rarely gets dirty. I will continue to repurchase!!

I love this toothpaste. I can't use toothpaste with SLS as it gives me terrible canker sores. I've been using Sensodyne ever since and love it.
