Went for job interview yesterday they wanted me to cut in a door for them I pulled this Purdy Moose out they looked at it and said oh no that brush is wore out I said nah this is a Purdy it'll shape back up once it hits the paint so I painted the door and got the job now they want to buy me some more of Purdy brushes. The Purdy Moose and Purdy Swann brushes are the 2 best brushes ever made and as all Purdy brushes will last you a lifetime if properly cleaned I give em a 10 star rating. You wanna make your House Pretty buy a Purdy!!!

These were my go to brushes for painting cabinets, cutting in around trim, painting furniture, staining….. basically everything! Now they’re just not the same. Please bring back the thumb divot!

The handle no longer has the divot which serves as a thumb grip. Handle is now thinner. Disappointed since it feels like a downgrade in quality. Does not sit as well in the hand.

I just purchased this brush two weeks ago and upon first use the brush has been losing bristles as I paint besides the slow loss of bristles it painted well until it was time for clean up. Upon clean up with soap and water as was recommended by the paint manufacture. The paint continued to cling to the bristles, yet with older Purdy brushes I have had for about 7-8 years, the paint came right off the brush as it should. Maybe this is just a bad batch of bushes made but it does make me hesitate to spend good money on more brushes.

This has been my go to brush for several years. Sadly, I had a staining job no brush should be asked to do. (Note to others- never let a contractor install unpainted wooden lattice.) The poor brush died. Fortunately this brush is still available. The short handle allows better control and the brush, if cleaned properly, will last indefinitely. I can't think of any way to make this brush better. Good job Purdy!
