Q: The instructions say that the Wall Cups must be actually screwed into the walls and/or baseboards. I bought this "pressure mount" gate to avoid the hardware mount to my walls. Advice?

A: Hello, The manual states " Intallation using only the adhesive on the wall cups is only recommended for the following situations: On painted door frames and on painted wood framed opening." In the following situations the adhesive wall cups must also be installed using the included screws: Painted and smooth drywall, on wall paper, on uneven surfaces, on surfaces with flaking paint, on oiled wood surfaces and anytime you are unsure. I got this gate a couple weeks ago for my dog! It works great the set up was super easy, and it looks amazing in our space. I like how there is a green indicator that lets you know when it’s locked correctly, and the doors can swing both ways if needed!
