Q: does have milk or egg ?

submitted by gr - 4 years ago
  • A: Hi Gr. If any of the top eight allergens (Milk, Egg, Fish, Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Shellfish, Soy, Wheat) are an ingredient or a component of the ingredient, the allergen will be listed in the Ingredients list or included in a "Contains" statement immediately after the Ingredients list. This is consistent with FDA labeling requirements. For products made on production lines where we produce other varieties that have different allergens not contained in the product, the line is thoroughly cleaned between productions. Due to the complexity of some of the equipment in some instances it may be difficult to clean some areas completely. Because we realize the seriousness of food allergens, in those instances, we warn consumers about the possibility of trace amounts of specific allergens on shared production lines when applicable, with a "may contain" advisory statement on the label. We recommend consumers look for these statements each time they purchase a product as formulas may change.

My little loves the idea of this. The only thing he doesn't like is it is almost too strong of a taste. We sometimes will put regular oats in with. Bonus no artificial dyes.

I ate this growing up ( I'm 32) and started buying it for my kids. Such nostalgia for me and sometimes it's the only thing my 5 year old will eat when she's sick. I always make sure we have a box in our pantry.

I love this oatmeal! It's such a part of my childhood. What I dislike is it always being a few months past expiration date on the shelves.

This oatmeal is a hit for my two, four and five-year-old! Just add hot water and stir to discover the eggs and the little dinosaurs emerge. Very reminiscent of the hidden bears oatmeal I had as a kid. However I wish they had this in different flavors to offer a variety

Fun idea, but disappointing in reality

Anon - 2 years ago, Verified purchaser
I’d never had these before and made the mistake of hyping it up to my 3yr old before actually trying it. I thought it would look like the picture, with both eggs and dinosaurs in the cooked oatmeal. I prepared it using the hot water method, but when I served it to him the eggs had already disappeared and the dinosaurs had melted into nothing more than a speck of food coloring (I’d already added extra milk when I took the pic, so the oatmeal looks kind of watery, but the eggs and dinosaurs were still non existent prior to me adding the extra milk…). My Son was so excited to see the dinosaurs and eggs, so I made another pack using the microwave method. Again, the eggs had already disappeared when I took it out of the microwave (maybe that’s the idea, in which case the picture with both eggs and dinosaurs together is kind of misleading…). This time there were two dinosaurs that were so tiny you could barely see them. My bad for getting his hopes up. It’s a fun idea, but unfortunately the reality was disappointing. It tasted fine to me tho, just like brown sugar oatmeal. A little on the sweet side for a children’s breakfast offering, but that’s nothing new I guess…

This can be hard to find in stores, but is the only way our 4yo eats oatmeal. It is essentially just brown sugar oatmeal, but the dinosaur part makes it one of our 4yo’s favorite and easiest breakfasts! (Too sweet for my adult tastes)

My 2.5 year old did not touch it after one bite :/ also, eggs do not dissolve as simple as you would think… does not fully crack. I tasted it and its pretty gross, artificial flavoring is so obvious. No thanks

Very cute and my kids absolutely love the little Dino eggs that melt and turn into dinosaurs. The only downside I think is that it is overly sugary. My 8 year old daughter who loves sweets usually can’t even finish it because the sugar is a bit much.

There’s something wrong with the taste of this oatmeal. One bite is good and the next tastes so disgusting. I almost threw out the whole thing because of the taste.
