Quest Nutrition Strawberry Shortcake Protein Bar

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed the taste of this protein bar. Normally there is only a chocolate flavor base, but the strawberry taste like strawberry. It has a bit of the artificial strawberry taste, but I'm pretty used to the strawberry shake taste. The bar is solid, but sift and chewy. The outer layer tastes like candy. For 200 calories it's pretty good. I keep trying to attach my photos, but I get a network error. Support hasn't gotten back to me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't have great expectations for this protein bar, given my past experience with Quest bars and how chalky, dry and artificial they have tasted. However, my mind was blown by how tasty this bar was! It was shipped to me securely with an ice pack included, making me feel safe to consume the bar no matter what weather conditions the shipment might have met when sent to me. The flavor "strawberry shortcake" did translate as far as the bar was concerned, and it felt decadent to eat - like I was having a dessert/candy bar instead of a protein bar. If I need to purchase protein bars I would definitely get this one in the future!

Most protein bars I’ve tried have a weird texture and odd protein flavor. This one was no exception. It still tasted a little weird to me, but I could taste a sweetness underneath. I can see how they get strawberry shortcake out of that taste. It’s not the best, but for a protein bars it’s fine and what I’ve come to expect.

I can’t put my finger on what this tastes like, but I can tell you what it DOESN’T taste like - Strawberry Shortcake! Not only is the taste completely off, but the consistency is also super off putting.

This has cute super cute bright packaging- something I would gravitate to at the grocery store. The bar itself had an odd smell- I’m guessing from the protein. The chocolate outside felt very sweet. And the overall flavor just tasted artificial. This isn’t for me. I wouldn’t purchase. I did eat before a workout and had a great workout so maybe a different quest product will taste better

The nutritional value does give the 20g protein but it’s also has an extra 8g in sugar. 21g of carbs. Maybe a different flavor would be better because the texture was one of the better ones I’ve tried.

That’s is a negative and a positive because I’ve had bars that taste off and leave an aftertaste. So if looking for nutritional value to avoid aftertaste then this is a good option. The texture was fine and didn’t have a weird feel or consistency like some bars can have.

The pretty pink packaging holds a beautifully striped bar that is reminiscent of a strawberry popsicle. The scent is sweet and fruity. The bar doesn’t smell or taste low sugar at all. Aside from appearance, I appreciate the bar has a good amount of protein, making it a good snack. While the bar’s appearance and smell are great, the texture wasn’t something I enjoyed. It has that chalky, chewy, homogenous protein bar texture. It tasted good. But the texture was a total turn off. The texture makes this protein bar an item I wouldn’t reach for again.
