Extracting Batteries
Being a very capable senior, I will ask a question, The packaging is so difficult to open, Instructions say use scissors. Very hard to cut through the plastic. No instructiions how to get the batteries out. I like Rayovac, but very DIFFICULT TO OPEN.

Thank you for submitting your review.Betty ! Many thanks for you feedback on the new child-resistant packaging. We have changed the packaging format to be in compliance with Reese’s Law, which states that all button, coin and hearing aid batteries – and devices powered by those batteries – must be contained in child-resistant packaging that features specific warning copy. The products have been subject to rigorous independent tests, confirming that the new packaging is 100% child resistant*, and zero batteries were accessed by children during CRP testing.* The new plastic dial includes additional staking points for extra security. By that nature it does mean that there will be a difference for users in how to access batteries in the pack, compared to previous packaging. The independent testing also showed that 99% of seniors were able to open the pack for the first time in under one minute*. On the second attempt, this time halved* so we found that consumers become faster with more familiarity and with instruction. We want to support everyone through the transition to child-resistant packaging and have prepared the following video that shows you how to open the pack. https://youtu.be/Si6aKj-1doQ “ Please reach out to us on RayovacConsumerServices@energizer.com or give us a call on 1-800-237-7000 to assist you better. Packaging
The new child proof packaging makes this product almost useless. The packaging for an older person is almost impossible. Most hearing aids do not say "you are in your car and it is quitting, get your sissors and now fight with the package and get one". or you are at a concert and it goes out and you need to cut the package to get at it. How many leave batteries out where kids can get them compared to how many older people with arthritis, shaky hands, but still on the go need EASY access to their hearing aid batteries. Maybe you should reconsider the design or something. I saved the old packaging and am now reusing it for my convenience, but you design caused more problems then it saved children lives. Think again. I know you will not read or care what I say, but I had to let you know the reality of the packaging. I am writing as a wife that makes sure my husband has his batteries when he needs them. Batteries work find.

Great Batteries
My husband and I both wear hearing aids so we go thru a lot of batteries. Love the batteries but the biggest problem we have is opening the new packages. I have arthritis and it is all I can do to get the packages and open, and he is never near a pair of scissors when he needs to open a package.

Cut-open feature
I have always loved Rayovac hearing aid batteries because they last longer than other brands, but I can only find them in the new cut-open style. I don't mind doing this at home, but I wish I could carry them in my purse in the original container without having to cut open the whole thing and putting in another container. They are definitely child-proof and if I get bad arthritis, they are going to be adult proof for me! It would be great if we had the option.

Packaging
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hate the new child proof package. you need tools to get to the battery. I'm 80 years old. I get these from the VA. I can't change a battery if I'm in a restaurant.

Good Battery
Have bought for some time. Batteries are typically good with good life. Recently changed packaging, new package stinks. Childproof and a reason to raise prices while packaging fewer in the package. Interesting the website shows the new package (6) per package. Comments shows the old (8) per package. Now have to use scissors to open, handling sharp objects again....

Dangerous child resistant packaging
The new packaging of #10 batteries is dangerous to old people. It is nearly impossible for me to get the batteries out without tearing my fingers on the sharp plastic. Each battery requires 2 cuts. The batteries do last longer, but my blood is not worth the extra day. Also the directions that say to remove the yellow tab are wrong, just leave the battery case open for 5 minutes for longer life'

unuseable
I absolutely cannot open these "childproof" packages. I have 1 package of the older containers left and after that I don't know what I;m going to do. The plastic is so tough I cannot cut thru it to open them.

Worst Packaging Ever Size 10 Child Proof Packaging
The child proof packaging that has to be cut to open is one of the worst packaging designs I have ever seen. It is very difficult to cut the hard plastic. Terrible design. I have purchased these before without the child proof packaging and they were fine. Recently purchased 10 packs of 6 batteries. Is the previous packaging still available?

Batteries are fine. New packaging is terrible!
The new child resistant packaging is impossible to open. I will never buy batteries packaged this way again.

Expired product
The batteries Target sent are expired and the value is $5 and in order to get a replacement I have to go through the trouble to return the expired batteries. Ridiculous.

Expired!
I purchased on Sep 2022, and the exp. date on it is Dec 2021. The date was covered with a sticker and I honestly didn't think Target would sell battaries expired almost a year ago. Make sure you check the dates on your battaries!

Doesn't fit - broke my hearing aid!
I had been using a couple different brands for years. I purchased a 32 pack of Ray O Vac and found they wouldn't fit in my mini RIC aids. Can't close the door. The plastic door broke when I removed the cell. It appears to be just slightly too thick and damaged my hearing aid. Went back to another brand and had no problems.

Out of Date Batteries??
Batteries had expiration dates semi covered and a sticker attached which read “00/00”. It is annoying enough to have short lived batteries, but to see them being sold without realizing they are either expired or about to expire is unconscionable. I will be returning them to the store.
