The Makeupsaver Sponge is designed with innovative makeup-saving technology to reduce makeup absorption while providing a natural, streak-free finish. The makeup sponge's patented, multi-angled shape effortlessly reaches all areas of the face, both large and targeted. The makeup blender sponge is best used dry with liquid and cream products such as foundation and concealer. Clean the Makeupsaver Sponge by simply wiping the film side with a damp cloth after each use. As with all Real Techniques products, this beauty sponge is also 100% cruelty-free and vegan. *In a 30-day lab test, less than 10% of water-based makeup was absorbed.

Directions of Use:
Apply liquid or cream formula directly to your face or onto the fingerprint film side of the sponge. Gently dab the sponge across the face or under eyes to blend out makeup until the desired coverage is reached. Play all the angles by using the precision point under eyes or to reach targeted areas and using the larger flat surface for all-over blending. This sponge is best used dry to get the most out of your makeup. Pro tip: for an even more natural finish flip the sponge over and use the film-free side to blend out coverage even more!

Cleaning, Care, and Maintenance:
Wipe the film side with a damp cloth after each use. Replace every 30 days.

[realtechniques.com] You’re not meant to fully soak or rinse it under running water, which could damage the makeup‑saving film. Hope this helps.

    Dont waste your money

    It fell apart (split in the middle) after two uses. I’ve used this brand before and never had an issue but this was terrible. Waste of money!

    Great BUT

    I picked this up on a whim in Ulta today and immediately tried it once I got home. Upon immediate use I really loved it because the fingertip side allowed me to distribute the product nicely while using less than a full pump. I flipped the sponge over and used the soft side to blend everything and it looked so good! The only downside, wiping the finger print side is easy but I wanted to clean the makeup off the sponge side so I washed it like my other sponges and immediately realized the design flaw. When the sponge expands during cleaning, the fingerprints are seemingly pulling away from the sponge once it expanded. But I don't see another way of cleaning the sponge side without having it expand. I dont want to have to switch to another product to blend everything but I dont see how I'll be able to use the sponge side regularly without cleaning it.

First of all, makeup application has nothing to do with fingerprints, it's not fingerprints that make makeup application smooth, it's an actual finger, it's hard but bouncey, doesn't absorb makeup, you can actually feel the amount of pressure you're applying. And regular makeup sponges don't absorb much product if they're damp, it's not like they just soak up all your foundation. Anyway, this makeup sponge is ridiculous.

    Not For Me!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This makeup sponge is bleh. Nothing amazing about it. The smooth side didn't really do anything special. It holds true that it doesn't absorb the makeup as much as other sponges do, but I just don't notice anything different or better than other sponges. The fingerprint side feels odd, of course, but I don't see it applied to my face any better. I wouldn't buy it.

    Great blender!

I like that the color is beige which makes it look less messy with my foundation on it. It feels quality and like it will last a while. I would definitely consider purchasing when this one gets old.

    Works well

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that the sponge is latex-free. I am not too keen on the on the textured side. It does allow for less product to be used as it absorbs 90% less makeup. The textured side is easier to clean as all you have to do is give it a wipe to remove excess product after use. The other side is a regular makeup sponge, and it offers a lot of angles to help with even application.
