Real Technique’s MCS works best with liquid and cream makeup products such as foundation, skin tints, and illuminators. This makeup sponge has RT's unique 3-point application technique that makes blending products seamless. First use the flat edge of the MCS to pack on product, then the precision tip to conceal, and finally, blend it all out with the rounded side. Use it damp for extra dewiness and let that inner glow shine through. The sponge case lets you bring your makeup sponge with you wherever you go! Directions of Use: Wet before use and use RT's signature 3-point application technique. Use the flat edge to apply and cover, the round sides to blend and blur, and the precision tip to conceal and perfect. Use damp for a natural, dewy finish.
Cleaning, Care, and Maintenance: Rinse through with lukewarm water after each use. Deep clean 1x/week with Real Techniques Brush + Sponge Gel Cleanser. Air dry thoroughly in a well-ventilated area. Store in a cool, dry place. Replace every 30 days.

I purchased as my travel blender, however it was a waste of money. As it was molded upon returning from vacation. The case has vents I thought that would prevent such from happening. However that wasn’t the case. It was damp prior to traveling. Make sure it is completely dry before casing to keep it.

Good sunscreen applicator for kids!
Full disclosure: I'm not using this to apply makeup. I've been using it to apply sunscreen on my kids and it's been awesome. Having the plastic case is so nice to keep it clean.

travel case is the best
I travel a lot so it was really great to find this travel case. my makeup bags don't get dirty, and i feel good knowing the sponge doesn't touch anything and stays clean.

Great for applying mineral sun block to kids
Perfect for applying mineral sunblock on my toddlers. Super soft and squishy, they don’t mind it and it actually gets rubbed in. I no longer dread the putting on sunblock!

Great travel case. I use the sponge for powder only. I would imagine mold is growing for other users because the sponge is being placed in the case wet and there is no ventilation. The case has been holding up well for me.

Case not worth the extra cost
The blender is great, I’ve used many within the past 5+ years. However, if debating between this set and say two blenders for the same price, I wouldn’t recommend this one with the case because of the quality of the case. While it does serve its purpose and the sponge fits inside even at its largest, absorbent state, the case doesn’t line up and close easily AND parts of the plastic has already chipped away with light normal usage. The case is still functional, but I’m guessing with the next use/travel, it will break and no longer snap to close.
Best sponge I’ve ever used. Durable, applies very well and cleans easily with soap and water. I don’t feel like I have to really replace it but thought to avoid any acne or skin issues will buy a new one every so often. And it has a case which makes it easy to store and not get contaminated in my opinion. Don’t really have any negatives to say about it.

Beauty blender dupe!
If you’re looking for a beauty blender dupe this is it! I actually prefer using these ones. I was happy to see they had one that came with a travel case since I bought this to put in my labor & delivery bag to have on hand so I could get prettied up to take pictures with our new bundle of joy.
My daughter and sister love this sponge for their foundation. The case comes in handy when she throws it in her make up bag. Not sure how people getting mold, maybe the care?
