Q: I charged rechargeable lantern for longer than 12 hours and the charge light indicator continued to stay red and never changed green. Is this normal or did I get a defective one.

Perfect basic lantern
Very bright. Not a complaint, because why would anyone want a dim one? I want to make a lampshade that will fit on this so it won't shine up at me when I'm carrying it sometimes. But as far as a portable light source this is easily 5 stars

Very nice little lantern/power bank
I’ve only had it a couple of days so can’t comment on longevity, but my first impression is very good! The brightest setting is better than I’d expected for a small light. The lantern is lightweight and easy to carry, and its ability to provide a charge is a nice bonus. I got it to use in an unlit storage unit, but will keep it charged in case of a power outage. It would also be handy for camping or an evening picnic.

Embark portable lantern
How do I know if I have a defective device? My charger light stays on red. I have no idea if it is completely charged or not. I have even left it on charging for over 24 hours at I think before and never received a green light showing it is fully charged.

Hello Becky, Please ensure you are using the USB-C cable provided, plug the USB-C end into the lantern and opposite end into the USB-A power supply of at least DC 5V 2A (must use UL compliant power supply). The lantern requires about 5 hours to fully charge, but may take longer. The lights will shore charge percentage - one light (25% charged), two lights (50% charged), three lights (75% charged), and four lights (100% charged). The red lights will display the amount of lantern battery remaining as your device charges. Please feel free to reach out to Target Guest Services at guest.service@target.com for additional support.

Bought this to go crab hunting at the beach, it exceeded my expectations. We never had to charge it the whole week were at the beach. Actually going to get one as a gift for my family it works so well. Very bright. 3 different light settings. Great design. Chargeable.

Embark items are great
Bright and even light output. Even the lowest setting is plenty to see in the dark. Also love the Scandinavian inspired design. Having the included USB charging is also a win.
