A: The dispenser is plastic so it doesn't "rust" necessarily, but the chrome coating peels or wears away. It's the curse of the chrome paint coating over a plastic dispenser nozzle on any soap dispenser.

Cute but quit.
As stated by everyone else who wrote a review, it's a cute, sturdy pump. But I bought this without reading the reviews because I've never felt the need to read reviews about a soap dispenser. I wish I would have read them. It worked great for a few weeks but increasingly put out less and less soap until now, and NO soap comes out. Hopefully they'll take it back. 🤞🏻

Do not recommend at all
The pump doesn’t work at all and the top doesn’t properly screw on. Like others, unfortunately I didn’t find this out until after I had put soap in it. I’m super disappointed bc it’s so cute but is completely nonfunctional.
