Q: can you use multi watt. bulbs

A: Hi - if by "multi watt" you mean 3-way light bulbs, no. These lamps only have on-off sockets, not 3-way sockets. If you are looking for that kind of functionality, however, we'd recommend using a tabletop dimmer with the lamps. The dimmer gives you far more lighting control than a 3-way switch/bulb, allowing you to set light level to whatever you want. Thank you for the question.

Great Pair of Lamps
Love these lamps that I needed for our newly purchased condo. They are just as described, arrived quickly without any damage, due to the well packed boxes. The pot style lamps are being used on end tables in our living room area. They are a perfect match for the decor of the off whites, creams, beiges, the seadrift color of the entertainment center, and the natural color of the woven seagrass cord of side & coffee tables. They are sturdy, a size that does not overwhelm the room, and the light beige shades are a proper fit & size for the ceramic pot bases. I highly recommend this pair of attractive lamps which were well priced. Very pleased with this purchase.

Looking for two table lamps and this was a great find.
