A: Hello, No this item is not waterproof. After each shave, turn the shaver off, remove the head assembly by gripping on each side and pulling up. Use the cleaning brush located on the bottom of the shaver to brush off hairs from the cutters. DO NOT RINSE the shaver under water.

I'm on my third one of these. After carefully following the manufacturer's instructions, I get about three decent shaves per unit then they just stop cutting. Noise, yes. But no beard removal. I unclip the screen and clean the blades and screen after each shave. Wow, this is bad!

I give it three stars rather than four or five for two reasons: first, having to rotate the clear plastic protective shield 180 degrees to turn it on is a bit inconvenient, a simple push button switch would be better; second, removing the head cover for cleaning is difficult because it is attached too tightly. The shaver itself works excellently.

this shaver leaves black where you shave with it. don't know if it is reaction to metal or the shavings that accumulate. Even when I clean it, it does this so you have to wssh your face after to get the black off. Other than that it cuts close and is convenient
