Ok but lacks the effectiveness of blade razor
The razor is adequate but I find does not get very close compared to my Fusion blade razor. It is compact and easy to use, very gentle on the skin but I find that it leaves a shadow and not as through as my blade razor.

The new razor works really good.
This is my second F5 razor and I like it and have a spare shaver head. My old one failed electronically. Went from a medium charge level to zero in one shave. It was no longer on warranty and Remington would not give me a discount on a new one but I already had a new shaver head so just got a whole new razor. I hope it lasts longer than the old one. So far so good.

Impressive shave!
Great shave so far. I gave up on electric shavers years ago. But I saw this one and thought they must have gotten better in all the years since I owned one. I was not disappointed! This has become my go to razor every day. I cleaned my conventional razors and stored them away. Great job Remington!

They last, that's for sure.
I only got rid of my several year old one cause the charger broke and it became a hassle to find a new charger. Got another updated one and seems to be exactly what I'm expecting. They last if you take care of them.

Excellent Razor
This razor is fantastic. I had an old Remington razor, that had to be close to 10 years old. It was a tank and worked great for a long time. Sadly, the motor began to fail and I knew it was time for something new. I looked at the reviews on this model and it had several good reviews so I went with it. The first time I used it, I hadn't shaved in 4 days, and I have coarse hair. This razor gave me a smooth fast shave with no hair pulling at all. The motor is super quiet and it is so easy to shave with. The blades cut close with no irritation or repeated passes over the same spot. Great job on this model Remington.

Overall, this shaver is solid. Only thing to "pick" at, is the closeness issue. Something is off....maybe bigger holes in the foil head. Not sure. Regardless, it's a really good shaver and very dependable. "0" issues with it in 5or6 years. I do need to order another head. For some reason, a hole formed and scratches my face. I'll simply order another head. Highly recommended!

My Remington history
I am 83, this is about my 10th Remington, the early ones lasted years, now they seem to last about 2 yrs and then stop working or plastic breaks, or on my last one the trimmer fell off. The newest one is ok, they just don’t seem to shave as clean, and the trimmer doesn’t cut as well. We’ll see how long this one lasts!

Men's Shaver Model F5-5800B-AT1
New razor is good except for one problem. While shaving, the two foils (one or the other) have a tendency of popping out. I have to turn the razor off and reseat them. My previous (same model) did not exhibit this problem.
