Makes noise, but does not trimming. Purchased for trimming nose hairs after my Wahl trimmer fell apart. The Wahl trimmer didn't last long but at least it trimmed when it did work. Moving on to another brand and tossing this into the garbage.

This is my second trimmer.
My other remington trimmer fell out of the cabinet into the sink. I thought it was Ok until I went to us it again. It was not. I serched all of the local stores, even the local drug store where I knew I purchased it several years earlier. No luck. I looked on the internet, and decided to go direct to the source. I shall take good care of it as it istaking good care of me.
