Everything you need is inside the box. See directions insert or leaflet and follow all safety instructions before you begin.
Step 1: Mix. Put on coloring gloves and pour the ammonia-free colorant into the cream developer bottle. Place the cap back on the bottle. Point the bottle away from your face and shake vigorously until the mixture has blended completely.
Step 2: Apply. Part your hair into 4 equal sections using the applicator tip, then apply the dye one section at a time starting at your roots. Do not rub the mixture into your scalp.
Step 3: Leave in. Apply any remaining product through the rest of your hair and massage your strands gently until your hair is completely saturated. Leave it on for 25 minutes total. For resistant gray hair, add 10 more minutes. For blonde shades, add an extra 20 minutes to the total processing time.
Step 4: Rinse. Put your gloves back on and gently rinse your hair with warm water until the water runs clear.
Step 5: Condition. Apply Moisturize + Strength Conditioner to your hair and leave it on for 2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water.

I was hoping it would fully cover my grades, but it did leave a few strands of gray behind. I left it on for the allotted time so I don’t understand why it didn’t fully covermy whole head.

The smell was kind of strong though (as with all dyes). As a stay at home mom I'm always looking for ways to still feel pretty on a budget and I would say this definitely hit the mark!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Revlon ColorSilk Beautiful Color Hair Color is an amazing product. I had gray hair and this hair color covered with no problem. I had a darker brown in my hair now it is a lighter brown. You mix the developer with the color and apply. There is no overwhelming smell in fact I didn't smell anything while dying my hair. My hair came out just the way I wanted it to.

Application of the dye was easy to apply the gloves made it mess free. I would say the dark brown could be a tad darker though because I still had a bit of gray left after applying. The shade range should be a little darker if possible.
