Don’t buy, make your own - simple recipe

I made these myself. It is such an easy thing to do, the premade ones are disgusting. I bought the large box of Rice Crispy’s cereal and 2 bags of marshmallows. I already had butter - only small amount needed. It took like 3-4 minutes. Longest part is melting the marshmallows. Then, throw in the Crispy’s mix quickly and dump in 9x13 (or so) and press the entire thing down. Cut and eat. Simple. Don’t buy the premade.

Short

My wife recently brought home a box of rice krispies treats. They were pretty good but the bars were not consistent in size. Some where at least 1/3 shorter!

Make these on your own, store bought is disgusting

My family has always made these homemade with the off brand product and it’s always been delicious and amazing! Recently picked up a box of these and they’re too sweet and off tasting. Looked at the ingredients and it’s loaded with corn syrup and fructose. PLEASE just make homemade ones!!! It’s cheaper and tastes better!!

Now With DATEM

These used to have normal ingredients. Now they added DATEM. While Kelloggs wil certainly argue that it's safe, as it's approved by the FDA - remember that we used to approve asbestos as a product that could be used in the everyday household. The truth is that DATEM causes GI issues. Not buying these again.

Great taste?l, but incorrect amount of bars

I bought a box with 16 bars with the rainbow, chocolate and original flavor. The box only had 13, which was really inconvenient because I was making goodie bags for my son’s class and needed 15, expecting the box would have had enough. We love these just a little upsetting when the amount is not correct.

Portion sizes half the what they used to be

These have been a favourite since we were kids and mom would make them. I was pleased to see them in the grocery aisle and started buying them for my kids. I just bought a box the other day and the squares are half the size I what they used to be. So disappointing. I will not be buying them again.
