Q: what is the difference between this original unsweetened ripple milk and the kids version?

A: Ripple Kids was developed specifically for growing bodies. The main nutritional differences include more DHA Omega 3s (50mg compared to 32mg), choline to help transport the DHA for brain building nutrition, higher amount of healthy fats, the addition of prebiotic fiber and additional fortifications including magnesium, riboflavin. Both flavors have 8g of protein, calcium, and vitamins A, D and B12.

I love using Ripple unsweetened pea milk in baking. You absolutely cannot taste anything odd and it reacts just like cow milk. I have used it in homemade mac and cheese to cut down on the amount of real dairy in the dish for my dairy sensitive family members and no one knows the difference.

Why even stock this? Ripple Vanilla consistently sells out. I won't even buy this one. But I religiously buy Ripple Vanilla (it's the pink and white label bottle). Also Why can't Target North in Knoxville TN please bring back Ripple Chocolate!!!??? Please!!!!! I so enjoyed buying it at this Target. If need be, I will buy several at once. I miss this one. I have to go to Whole Foods or Publix to get Ripple Chocolate. It goes great with Ripple Vanilla side by side in my fridge. I need both. Thank you Target if you read this please!

This milk is da bomb. If milk causes you gut or Inflammatory issues, then this is the next best thing. It has 8 grams of protein per serving which is comparable to dairy milk. Pea protein is highly absorbable and contains essential amino acids so it’s great for growing kids IMO. It’s unsweetened which is great for children’s/adults teeth and if you’re trying to eat less sugar. The only drawback is the addition of the sunflower oil (possibly inflammatory?) but it’s needed to give the milk a thicker/creamier consistency. I’ve been drinking this “milk” nearly every day for a few years and my body loves it. No complaints, no tummy problems. My son loves it too!! He’s a growing boy so that’s win! I do think it’s priced too high though for not even a half gallon…

Ripple contains sunflower oil as an additive. This means they’d rather add an inflammatory oil to their product instead of more of the actual product to save money. Definitely NOT a healthy option. Stay far away from Ripple!

We use high oleic sunflower and/or safflower oil. These oils contain 6 times fewer omega 6s than most conventional oils and are nutritionally very similar to olive oil. Our oils are expeller pressed which means no chemicals were used to extract the oil from the seed. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback.

Try to stick with FairLife but Target was out of every lactose free except this one. It wasn't until I was home and saw all of the different oil ingredients, NO! Bad aftertaste, will not buy again.

After our son was born, we found that he had a sensitivity to dairy and we had to cut dairy out of our diet to accommodate. We tried a number of options including rice milk, almond milk, oat milk, hazelnut milk, etc. When we found Ripple, we were amazed by the taste and consistency. It doesn't taste like milk, let's get that out right now. But, none of the other things we tried tasted like milk either, so the milk comparison isn't valid at this point. Ripple has a thicker consistency than rice milk or hazelnut milk., it is more similar to almond milk or soy milk. The taste of the original flavor is very good. It is slightly sweet and it gives it a bit of a taste like melted ice cream (not nearly as sweet though). This was one of the few dairy alternatives that we could actually see drinking straight, not just mixed with coffee or in recipes.

I have many food sensitivities, so I struggled to find a creamy additive for my coffee. This is perfect, and doesn't add any unwanted flavor. GREAT PRODUCT! There are other reviews that indicate the product separates. From my experience, if the coffee is too hot [rolling boil], that's when it tends to separate. Also, I only reheat in the microwave [if it sits on my 'warming' burner too long, it separates then too]. Now that I've reazlied the separation occurs when too hot, I don't have issues with separation anymore.

I saw a couple reviews that said it tasted just like dairy milk which made me a bit hesitant to try because I hate the taste of cow's milk since I've never been able to drink it. But I figured I could put it in a recipe of I didn't like the taste. Fortuntely, it tastes great and I drink it plain, with coffee, or mix it with my protein. I'd say it tastes somewhere between soy and almond milk, maybe more on the soy side (?). If I had to say anything less than positive, it'd probably be the price and it is more calorie dense than almond milk. That said, it is more enviromentally friendly to produce, from what I understand, than almond milk.
