Our pediatrician mentioned this milk. Switched my 12 month to it after whole milk was making her spit up and she wasn’t wanting to drink it. She loves this stuff!

My child used to have multiple food sensitivities so when these were included by accident in our grocery pickup I was curious. My child’s allergies arose when I was breastfeeding so I had to avoid them too, and I choked down a lot of substitutes. Here are the problems ripple seems to solve well: - Most alternative milks have almost no nutrition in them, compared to a glass of cow milk. So it was a lot of money, grocery hauling, storing, and using without offering anything toward growing a healthy baby or child. Ripple in contrast has calories and macronutrients similar to cow milk. I tsked about the sugar at first but cow milk has sugar (lactose) and fructose isn’t that different. This means this milk also leans toward helping 40/30/30 macronutrient meal planners who are dairy sensitive. - Most plant milks fake a creamy texture with xanthan gum etc. I don’t tin hat over it being “toxic” but I did always loathe the texture. Ripple uses sunflower oil to provide texture and fat. Decent choice. - Flavor and texture are decent. There’s actually some “there” there. The one with sugar is really well formulated, it doesn’t taste sweet it just tastes pleasant. It’s very slightly grainy but not slimy or gritty to a point most people would care. - Price is decent. What I don’t love: - Pea protein. I get why they chose it, but a lot of soy sensitive people are cross reactive with other legumes or develop a sensitivity to pea protein (as occurred in our household). Our specialist’s research indicates sensitive/allergy prone people develop sensitivities from over exposure to the exact same protein, which is more common now that we plant exactly the same variety of a specific plant and then refine it into all our foods. So this use of highly refined pea protein (probably all the same strain of pea) in absolutely everything isn’t helping sensitive people. I am not opposed to refined foods but diet variety is healthy. My favorite alternative milk is the one that’s only whole soy and water - it’s cheap, shelf stable, high in nutrition, tasty, functional. If you aren’t sensitive to soy I suggest that (Trader Joe’s). Hemp is fantastic but so expensive. Because I know how totally demoralizing and exhausting it is for people to deal with sensitivities (especially since they can be a moving target) I’ll add: In our 10-year trek with multiple food sensitivities —all of which were mild (hives, eczema, no anaphylactic) every time we switched to a new milk, my child became sensitive to it. But guess what? There are a zillion ways to feed a kid well without milk. Now we are allergy-free and use the Joi almond milk base, which is a whole food, shelf stable, high nutrition, not manufactured. And sometimes cow milk. And sometimes whole soy milk. The rotation through very simple foods and a diet that doesn’t a lot of milk works better for us. So if you’re struggling with food sensitivities I think Ripple fills a certain niche well, for the times when only milk will do. It is much better than most other choices. But I don’t think it’s a good idea for people who could have cow milk but think it’s unhealthy (it’s not), and our experience getting multiple kids through very allergic childhoods is using “milk” as rarely as possible.

Dairy free best option

For toddlers with sensitive skin and stomach especially eczema issues. This cleared up my sons skin

RUINED MY KIDS STOMACH. My toddler tried this stuff and immediately had horrible constipation and stomach cramps. Get this stuff off the shelves. It’s pretty much poison.

My little guy has FPIES and this is the only “milk” that he can tolerate (aside from hypoallergenic toddler formula). Such a great price, especially when compared to what we were paying for Pepticate ($37 for 13oz). Definitely worth a try for kiddos with allergies and/or intolerances. Side note: we tried Else toddler formula when he first turned one and he HATED it. And I can’t blame him, gave it a taste and… yuck! Ripple Kids tastes sooo much better, no seriously, I would drink it too! However, it did take him a few tries before adjusting to the thicker texture, so just a heads up for the parents with picky kids (like mine).

This is amazing milk!! Better then cows milk in everyway!! People that put down the ingredients don't understand what they are, where they come from, or how they are used in the body.

Great Dairy-Free Option for Kids! My kids love this milk! It’s creamy, smooth, and doesn’t have that chalky taste that some plant-based milks do. I like that it has added protein, calcium, and DHA — perfect for growing kids who can’t have dairy. Little thicker than regular milk. It mixes well with cereal, smoothies, or just served cold in a cup. I feel good knowing it’s nutritious and free from common allergens. Definitely our go-to dairy-free milk!

My youngest couldn’t tolerate anything and we didn’t want to decrease on calories, this was the best for her and she loves it still full of great nutrients!
