Q: Does this fire pit come with a cover? If not, does it need to be covered when not in use?
A: It comes with a cover, but my cover began to rip after about a month. Now it is in tatters (after 6 months). I'm shopping for a 24" round top now, as I like this idea better than buying another cover (which will not last in the AZ sun!)
submitted byXB9000 - 3 years agoA: There isn’t a lid. There is a protective cover though. I purchased and stained 24” round pieces of wood to set on top as tabletops...and it works great!

Q: How do you get this thing started? Turned in the propane tank, pushed in the knob in side of fire pit and held in for 15 seconds. Nothing is happening. Help!

Q: I cant get my flame to stay lit. It starts up fin and then burns out the second i release the knob. Any pointers?

Q: if I want to use fire glass instead of lava rocks, how much glass would it take to fill it?
A: I used 20 lbs. in the fire column.

Q: Is this safe to put on a wood deck?
A: Stacey, Yes! This is safe to place on a real wood deck. Here is a little more information: The unit must be used in a very well ventilated area, this means it cannot be used indoors or in an enclosed space. It is perfectly safe to put the unit on a real wooden surface, concrete, a rock surface or stone as long as the surface is flat and leveled. As an added safety precaution, when using this unit on an acceptable surface, you may place a heat resistant mat underneath the unit or most hardware stores will also carry heat resistant tile. The unit must be kept at least 10 feet away from all combustible materials on all sides of the unit and must at least have a 4ft clearance from any surrounding wall or surface. It must also have a minimum clearance of 6 feet above the unit starting at the table top portion of the unit. Please note that placing this under overhanging trees and shrubs is not recommended.
