All I had to do was make the main course and then pop this in the microwave and 90 seconds I have a yummy side. Kids enjoyed it and so did I. The packaging was easy to open and cook. This is also very affordable with generous amount. It’s enough for 3-4 people. I bought two more.

As for the product itself it wasn't my favorite thing, the smell was a bit overwhelming although not necessarily bad but I did have to air out the microwave and the taste was not as flavorful as I was expecting for it being so aromatic. I think I would buy a different flavor to try but would not buy this one again.

I enjoyed the texture as it was not hard like some others I have tried and tossed away. I think if I added a teaspoon of water it would have helped the consistency. The 90 sec cook time makes for a speedy side dish. My husband had some as well as you see 2 plates. He said the first few bites were really good but then just couldn't eat any more as the saffron was too powerful. Being that my other half would waste more than he ate I will likely not buy this flavor but will try others Royal makes.

The rice steamed quickly in the microwave and was ready to plate immediately after. It’s preseasoned and can be fine on its own but I’d recommended adding a little butter and additional seasoning if you want a bolder flavor.

It has a nice strong aroma in the bag but when u taste it its not as strong which i liked. Ate it with chicken and some broccoli and would eat it again. The rice was good not too mushy and not too hard. Overall would say it’s a good product!
