RTIC Outdoors Ultra-Light 52qt Hard Sided Cooler

I went camping this weekend and used my new cooler for the first time. I put ice in it on Saturday morning with the frozen separator. And the cooler sat in my car all day Saturday and Sunday in the hot sun, because I didn’t want bears to get it if I left it out in the world, and it still had ice in it.

Perfect size for going shopping. We live outside of the cities, so we only journey into the big markets. Easy to carry, fits in the back of the car, keeps everything cold until we get back home. Now we’ve got at least one of each hard side coolers, along with a number of soft sides.

Like the cooler at a fair price dislike design relevant to being able to lock cooler in back of a truck this particular cooler there’s no way to put a safety bar lock on it

I just finished a 2 week trip with my new cooler and to be honest I'm underwhelmed. This replaced an old Coleman Xtreme cooler. Maybe that one worked better than I realized but I expected the RTIC to outshine the Coleman and it definitely did not. I pre-chilled the cooler but still had to replenish the ice every other day. Granted it was in a hot car, but I thought the thick insulation would work better then it did. Maybe I choose wrong with the ultra-light model but it already was very difficult to lift when loaded and the heavier model would have been too much. On the plus side, the drains worked well. . . I just had to use them way more often than I thought I would.

Received in a very timely manner. I like the room and weight for the size of the cooler. Haven't used it yet, so we'll see how long it holds ice.

The cooler held ice fairly well. However, a few times the seal of the cooler was suctioned so tight that we had a hard time opening the cooler.

With the limited experience I've had with the 52, I have been impressed. And I can be hard to impress. Bought it mostly for picking up groceries, I use the freezable divider (which i like) and two 2 lb ice blocks to help the divider. Longest ive had it in the cab of the truck with food, 9 or 10 hrs. And it kept my stuff cold. Not the cheapest, but I believe it's worth the money. And it looks good, seems to be solid built.

Bought as gift for my son’s 21st…he likes it. Seems heavy duty. Will get a lot of use out of it until he loses it! 🤣

Definitely lighter than my old 65 qt rtic which is what I was looking for. Haven’t given long term ice retention a try yet but it has done well for 2 and 3 day trips. Happy so far.

Very well build and keeps ice and contents cold as promised. Just ordered baskets - absolutely needed to maximize use of the cooler.

Exceptional value. Love the duel drains kept ice, ice for days and even a couple frozen items frozen. Not a real interest for me but several people commented on the color.

4. 95 out of 5 stars. Flawless, thoughtful design but the center divider / freezer pack is not available and not even on back order. Aitherwose two thumbs up!

Just home from 6 day river trip with temperatures in the 90s. Exceeded expectations.

This is by far the best cooler we have owned. In my 50 + years of buying all kinds of coolers, nothing compares in quality and price. In fact we are getting ready to purchase a 2nd cooler. We sell beef and chicken at the local farmers market, and even after 4 to 5 hours the meat is still rock hard frozen. Thanks RTIC for a great product.

We love the cooler!! It’s sturdy but spacious and perfect for car camping.
