Sabre Mighty Discreet Pepper Spray

Sorry to say but I have mixed feelings on this product. I carried it for the course of a year and my favorite features of the product are how compact it is while giving me the option for less than lethal without needing to actually touch the perpetrator as well as providing me a chance to flee if necessary. I had it hanging on my keys which made it really easy to find in my pocket as well as increase my chances of remembering to take it with me. The problem is it did go off twice in my pocket. Somehow the lock would disengage and then get depressed. The exposure was minimal on my thigh it was still extremely intense so the product inside is great. Awesome job in that regard. I wish I could tell you guys how to solve the issue of negligent discharge if you choose to carry it in your pocket without compromising size or ease of use but I have nothing. I will say that I do not see this coming unlocked and then spraying you if you carry it in a purse or just clip it to your belt. Even with it going off in my pocket twice, I'm still thinking of buying another replacement.

I haven't tested it, since I live in a residential area and don't have anywhere safe to try spraying it at the moment where it wouldn't affect an animal or a neighbor. However, I do like having the option to carry this with me, especially when I'm visiting bigger cities or alone in dark areas. Anything that's an added layer of protection can be helpful. Keep in mind that (according to my research) you do need to CARRY this if you're in a potentially unsafe situation. If it's tucked away in your purse, you won't get to it in time.
