I haven't used this yet, but it's green pellets and I assume they will be ok. The packaging is disappointing though, because instead of the box shown it comes in a thin plastics bag with the annoying "resealable" slip in the side of the bag. So that's pretty useless for me. In addition the thin plastics bag had already ripped so there was plenty of pellets rolling around the bottom of the cardboard shipping box. Maybe that would have been better with some paper packaging in the to prevent it shifting and the bag ripping, I don't know. If you buy this I'd recommend going to the store to pick it up and bringing a bucket to transport it in.

I like that these are pellets so they won’t get caught in my dogs’ paws or be drug into the house from people’s shoes. They are also safe for pets and attract the heat to keep the area free of ice.

It’s been very hard since we moved from Florida to the north dealing with snow storms and having a pet inside a small home. This is a large amount of over 20 pounds, which will last you all winter, and works great for the northern ice I would highly recommend this product and melts snow while keeping your doggie safe.

The problem with eco friendly products, though, is you often have to give up the effectiveness in favor of being planet conscious. I was so happy to find Safe Paws and try it because it actually works! My four-legged friends don’t have burns on their feet like they do with other salt products. It’s a win-win!

I love that it doesn't damage concrete and is safe for pets. It comes in a good size (22 lbs.) and can cover a good area. The formula seems to be concentrated and very effective.

It was all clumped up it seems like it was very old . Wouldn’t buy it again .I had to purchase some from another-store.
