A: Twist the knob at the top
submitted bymabel328 - 1 year agoA: Where is the crank and how do I open the pepper shaker grinder?
submitted byjahollway - 1 year agoA: Unscrew the top (hardware) bolt that would connect the crank. Once off, you can slide the top off and the crank and instructions are inside.

Q: Where is the crank located not on when purchased
A: Crank should be inside, along with instructions. Open by unscrewing top screw. Optionally adjust grind by how tightly you reassemble top screw above crank.

Q: Is it a set (1 pepper, 1 salt), or does one have a place for the salt and pepper?
A: It is only a single and each single can hold either salt or pepper. I didn’t know that before I ordered.

Q: Where is the ABS and zinc alloy used? Does it come in contact with spices and is it food grade
A: Hi GA - Thank you for reaching out. We appreciate your interest in Salt and Pepper Crank Grinder. The ABS is used for the plastic grinding mechanism parts, which are durable and resistant to wear, while the zinc alloy forms the grinding burrs or teeth. The copper finish is applied to the exterior of the grinder for aesthetic purposes. These components do not come into contact with the spices. The parts that directly grind the spices, such as the grinding mechanism, are made from zinc alloy. I hope this helps - Emma
