  • A: Hi John - While Motion Xcelerator is a built-in feature that can't be disabled, you can, however, adjust Picture Clarity. Within Picture Clarity Settings, you can select Picture Clarity (formerly Auto Motion Plus) to change the setting to Off, Auto, or Custom. Bought TV at the beginning of the year to start streaming services on Hulu. As such, previous Samsung could not support Hulu. Am very pleased with TV. Particularly, the simplicity of the remote. I did purchase the Samsung HT-CT290/HT-CT291 sound system and pleased with that as well.

There are several volume features you can adjust, which may improve your audio experience. 1) Auto Volume automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Go to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume. 2) Adaptive Sound automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while watching TV. The TV analyzes your volume usage history by time period to automatically adjust the volume when you use an app or switch to an external input source. Go to Settings> All Settings> Sound> Sound Mode> Adaptive Sound. 3) Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > All Settings> Sound > Sound Mode. Also, some sources have their own volume control, which might need to be set higher. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try the cable connection again. If you need more help, Samsung is here for you! We really like the picture when it is the right size. Many times it changes to 2/3 of its full size. Sometimes after turning it off and then starting it again it will return to full screen mode. Sometimes we have to reboot it. This is frustrating as we like the quality of the video and the audio.

The TV quality is okay, but I am disappointed by it. The picture isn't the quality I expected, and the TV has a hard time connecting to Wi-Fi at times. I have another TV brand in my bedroom (further away from the Wi-Fi router), and I have never had an issue with the Wi-Fi connection. I am disappointed in my purchase and expected better quality from Samsung.

RAM2020, It’s unfortunate to hear you’re not fully satisfied with your QE1D TV’s image quality. Below are a few settings that I recommend adjusting: Go to Home > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and select the mode that best fits your usage: 1) Standard: Default mode suitable for general viewing environments. 2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience. 3) Movie: Most suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room. 4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. 5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching. You can also go to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings > to manually fine-tune your image. Your Wi-Fi issues may be caused by a network issue. You might want to go through these steps to check your network connection: 1) Minimize interference by not using or turning off wireless devices. Also, verify that there are no obstacles between the TV and the modem or access point. (Wi-Fi strength can be decreased by appliances, cordless phones, stone walls/fireplaces, etc.) 2) If the wireless connection fails, connect the TV to the access point via a LAN cable. If the TV can connect to the Internet normally via the wired connection, there might be a problem with the access point. In this case, try using a different access point. 3) Perform a network test to check if there is a network problem. Press the Home button on your remote. Navigate to Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis> Smart Hub Connection Test 4) Try a cold reboot of your TV by pressing and holding the power button for 5+ seconds until the TV turns off and on again. 5) Please also be sure you have the latest firmware update. You may want to enable automatic updates for convenience. Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update. I hope these tips help resolve your concerns.
