A: Hello, thank you for your question. Our Hydro Silk razor has unique skin guards on each blade to help protect skin from irritation during shaving. We do still recommend that you use shave prep such as shaving gel or shave cream. Schick Hydro Silk™ is a “traditional” razor. It provides moisture and glide throughout each shave and the best results are achieved by using a shave preparation.

A: Hold handle in hand, and push white release button by razor blade cartridge to release used cartridge. For attaching new, insert top of handle into the back of new razor cartridge, until it snaps into place.

not for sensitive skin
I wouldn't even say that I have sensitive skin, I usually never get irritation especially when shaving my legs. I used this razor and my legs had red bumps all over and was painful. I used the same shave oil I always use but this razor was so harsh and abrasive on the skin that my legs were bleeding. Avoid this at all costs especially if you have sensitive skin or KP as this will make it a lot worse.

If I could give it zero stars, I would I use the razor one time and it gave me razor burn. My skin started to slough off after a few days. I will never use this brand again.

Good shave, bad shower hanger
The razor shaves great. Love the hydro strip for a smooth shave. However, I just threw away the shower suction hanger which doesn’t work. It’ll hang for a day or two and then fall off the shower wall which knocks off the blade and blade cover. This happened in the middle of the night last night and woke up my husband and me.

Razors have changed??
Have loved this razor for many years but something has recently changed. The last several refills are causing horrible razor burn for all 3 of us in the house that uses this particular kind of razor. It’s so weird! What did you change? We’ve had to recently switch razors companies because of this

I used to use the Schick Intuition Fab razors but unfortunately they discontinued the product which was so disappointing because that razor was the best at not giving me razor burn or cuts. The only downside was it didn’t get all the hair in some places. This is a good product and cuts really well. The only downside is it cuts my skin often. Even though I am very careful with my shaving, it never fails that I end up with a nick. This was my next best choice to the Fab. Overall, it is a good product.

Razor Burn
It took me way too long to realize that these were causing razor burn. It was so mild and I already have sensitive skin. But then it got severe. I looked these up from a previous order worried something other than aloe was now included and I saw reviews of others shared experiences. Very disappointed!!! I switched back to dollar shave club
