Q: Are the metrics on the LCD display visible without the app(s)/subscription?

A: Yes, the screen is visible without using any apps. You just have to have the bike plugged into the electrical outlet (there's an adaptor that attaches to bottom front base).

A: Hi! Great questions! Yes, it will register resistance level in the features while working out. We offer the 12-Month Free Trial JRNY Membership which can be canceled anytime. Compares favorably to any gym equipment I have used
I love to ride my road bike. I do not like wind, rain or cold. So instead of moving to a better climate I bought the IC4 for the winter months. Fit wise the IC4 is very comparable to my road bike. It has a very smooth and powerful ride and will definitely satisfy my need for conditioning. It is not my road bike but that is okay.

Excelent bike!
I'm using it 3 to 4 times a week and it is awesome, it keep track of everything on screen. Time, calories, speed, distance and you can feel the quality. One thing I would improve it is the seat, it feels a little hard, but apart from that, everything is good.

Seems like a good value
I'm 67. I am recovering from a period of inactivity due to motorcycle accident and reconstructive surgery. Cardiologist told me I need cardio. I used to be an avid cyclist so this works for me. It feels pretty much like riding a road bike other that the lack of a freewheel.

Fantastic!
I had an SAH in early February and was finally cleared by my doctor for some light cardio. I walk a few miles per day and knew that biking would be easier on my knees. It's been a godsend to my recovery!

If you want a bike you can't ride, this is the one for you!
If you are wondering whether or not you should buy this bike, let this review be your answer: No, do not buy this bike. Unless of course, you want a bike that you can't ride. I ordered this bike in late April, and it is still unassembled in my basement. Why you ask? It came with a dented fly wheel. In this condition, the bike simply cannot even glide for a full rotation because it gets caught. How am I to ride that?

Worth Every Penny

I have chronic Achilles pendants, limiting my running. This is great for cardiovascular workout. I use and enjoy the JRNY upp and its integration much more than I thought. I use it most days.

Seat Adjustment May Not Be Adequate For Smaller Riders
3 1/2 stars. Recovering from a recent Achilles tendon rupture, I decided to purchase an exercise bike because it offers non-weight bearing leg strengthening. I'm in the initial stages of exercise bike usage so my IC4 biking experience so far is minimal. First impressions are the bike delivers a sturdy, solid and quiet ride. On the negative side, there's the fixed forward sweep of the handlebars and the limited forward adjustment of the bike seat. In other words, the IC4 riding position demands a low extended, arms-forward lean that shorter riders (like me) may find challenging because the seat can't be adjusted far enough forward. If you belong to the road bike crowd and are of a certain height, the IC4 ride will likely feel familiar. If you don't fit in this category, find an IC4 to test ride before buying.

I like the bke overall but it could use some improvements.
The bike is very sturdy and quiet, I really like it overall but do have some complaints: 1. The instructions(#3) say to line the hole in the handlebar tube up with the hole in the neck and attach the handlebar bracket. There is NO hole in the tube and the hole in the neck has been covered over with a piece of metal. I spent 45 mins on the phone with a very nice associate. We came to the conclusion that the instructions are wrong and the handlebar bracket is held in place by the force of that piece of metal pushing against the tube. I am concerned that the connection won't be strong enough to support my weight when biking standing up but so far, so good. 2. There is an annoying cord that only serves the purpose of plugging in the monitor. I wish that had a battery option. 3. The monitor only displays stats from the current workout so no way to keep track of total miles ridden and other long-term stats.

Seatpost too short for a 6' 2" rider
I used to ride a Schwinn at gym's since 1999, never had any issue with the length of the seatpost until now. It is too short for a 6' 2" rider, Schwinn does not provide a longer seatpost.
