Q: once on window can it be removed?

A: It's mounted to the window via a suction cup type of setup, so it can be removed and placed onto another area if needed. Just make sure the relocated area is cleaned before re-suctioning it to the surface.

Sturdy and does a great job!
Sturdy. Very rarely falls from the place where it is suctioned (has fallen down maybe only twice in the past year, and those times coincided with very hot weather). The magnet is strong. Have had it over a year and am super pleased with this purchase. It’s also one of the only products I’ve seen decrease in price in this economy. I bought it for $20 in-store, but it’s currently $12 online.

Haven't fully used it yet, but good support from the company
I haven't had a chance to fully mount and use this yet - I still have more work to do to clean the adhesive from the previous mount off the windshield. But I bought this item from Target, and when I got home, found that the metal plates that attach to the phone or case weren't in the box (don't know if someone had taken them out in the store or if it was just mispackaged originally). I called the company, had a short wait on the phone, talked to a real person who quickly gathered my information and mailed out two phone mount plates for us. It was an easy interaction to fix the issue and something I really appreciate - I know mistakes happen, and like to buy from companies that make it easy to address problems and stand behind their product. I'll update this review after mounting it, if I remember to.

Not quite strong enough for large phones.
I like the design but either my phone is a heckin chonk or my case is too thick. It holds my phone but my phone falls down when I go over bumps or accidentally bump the cord even the slightest bit. I have an iPhone 13 promax with a loopy case. It would be perfect if the magnet was a bit stronger. I think this would be great for a smaller phone. I also wish the suction cup had adhesive as well as the silicone suction cup. It is stuck on there pretty well but it fell off my windshield at one point which was surprising to me but probably due to my phone being so heavy.

Disappointed
Unfortunately, this window mount did not hold my 8 inch Amazon Fire, which was the reason I purchased it. I followed all of the directions, but the magnetic separated from my device while on the stand, causing it to fall and get scratched. Also, I was hoping this stand would be able to stick to the dash as well, but it only sticks to the window. It worked okay with my phone, so if you have a lightweight phone it may work fine.

We are sorry to hear about the disappointing experience you had with your Scosche MagicMount. The model purchased is not necessarily recommended for tablets. We offer various models with larger, stronger magnets which are designed for larger devices such as tablets. We can also offer you a complimentary mounting disc which will provide an improved smooth, flat surface for the StickGrip suction cup base to adhere to, should the below steps not resolve your concerns. You can wash the StickGrip suction cup with warm water and a little bit of liquid soap, such as hand soap or dish soap. Clean and knead the material with your fingers when washing the suction cup, rinse it completely and then let it air dry. This will oftentimes help rejuvenate the adhesive property and refresh StickGrip suction cup base. Preparation of the surface area and the Scosche product is vital for successful installation. Use the included cleansing wipe to clean the area of the dashboard or windshield where you wish to secure the MagicMount. Ensure the cleaned area is dry, then with the lever in the upright position firmly hold down the base of the mount onto the desired location, and press down the lever to lock the suction cup base into place. It is recommended to find the flattest, smoothest area in your car that would best suit your needs. Sharp or rounded edges may not be optimal mounting locations for the MagicMount. Poor
Seemed like a reasonable product to purchase at the Target, as I needed one. The magnets worked fine, however, the suction cup pad, or lack thereof, did not work as directed/at all. I cleaned the surface to attach the mount well as was necessary, but would not stay attached. I remedied this by cutting out some Velcro pads I had. This shouldn’t even be necessary but it worked. Wouldn’t recommend this, stick with something you know will work.

Horrible. Held iphone to device with magnet fine, but wouldn't stick to anything. Not dash, glass, plastic. Total waste of money.

Weak mount
Not as good as advertised. It can't hold through my cellphone case, the phone keeps falling off the mount unless I attach it directly to the phone without the case. Weak magnet

Does not work on glossy case
Did not work for us. The adhesive on the magnetic plate would not stick to the glossy case of our Moto G6. We tried both the small and the large plate. They would stick to the magnetic mount much more than they would to the phone. So the magnetic mount always pulled them off of the phone.

Worth the money
Work wonderful. It easy to use and holds my Galaxy with no problems. We had a vent clip and didn't like it. Took it back and got this for both our car and truck. Spend the little extra for it, you won't be disappointed.
