Description
Get outside and enjoy your lawn with Scotts® Turf Builder® Rapid Grass™ Bermudagrass. This combination grass seed and fertilizer grows grass 2X faster than seed alone when applied at the new lawn rate* and grows in tough conditions*. Use a Scotts® spreader to apply per label directions. To apply to new lawns, rake the area to loosen soil and remove any dead grass or debris to ensure seed-to-soil contact. Rake the product into the soil to ensure it is covered just beneath the surface. For overseeding lawns, mow existing grass to approximately two inches in height or at the lowest mower setting then rake to loosen soil before application. For best results, water twice daily for three weeks or until seedlings reach 2 inches in height, and apply Scotts® Lawn Food products every 8 weeks through the season to maintain a thick, green lawn. One 4 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Rapid Grass™ Bermudagrass covers up to 1,495 sq. ft. for new lawns or 5,000 sq. ft. when overseeding your lawn. *subject to proper care

I planted the new seed and the next day we were getting 4 inches of rain and high winds from Hurricane Helene. My kids and I covered it with clear plastic. 5 days later we uncovered it and I had 1/2 grass already!! Now 3 weeks later it around 6 inches and beautiful but I’m afraid to cut as it is so new. What should I do? Anyone?
This is the grass seed I will buy again.

our dog Jasper in his foraging routine he discovered grubs which he enjoys but he dug up a decent size patch of dirt with no grass at all.I bought this grass seed because I needed to try and get some grass to grow before the first frost showed up and this grass seed worked. I just thought it might be too cold for the seed to germinate but with a blanket of straw it did germinate. I just hope it makes it through the winter. If not I have enough seed left to try again. Thge seed did sprout when it said it would

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My new yard is mixed with mostly Bermuda, but it should be ALL Bermuda, however somone over seeded. I used the Rapid Grass last year and did help quite a bit to fill in and it continues to grow thick and lovely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately we did not see a difference in our lawn/grass after applying this product. I will say that Central Texas has been getting no rain in addition to water restrictions we did not anticipate.

We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Turf Builder Rapid Grass Bermudagrass and appreciate your feedback. You should start seeing germination in 6-14 days under ideal growing conditions, but will take about a month for all the seed to germinate. We recommend mowing the grass short and rake or de-thatch the area to remove dead grass and loosen exposed soil prior to applying. This Grass Seed will germinate best when temperatures are consistently in the 75-90-degree F range. Both excessive moisture and not enough moisture can inhibit seed germination. The seeded area should be kept consistently moist like a wrung out sponge (top 1/4 in of soil moist) for the first 3 weeks. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. At your earliest convenience, please reach out to us at 888-270-3714 if we can further assist.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works as advertised! Grass came up quickly and is looking great. I followed the directions, only scratched the surface dirt a little with a rake. After about a week the grass was sprouting and looks great. I watered twice a day.

We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Scotts Rapid Grass Bermuda and appreciate your feedback. Warm Season grasses (Bermudagrass/Centipede/Zoysia/Bahia) should be planted in early summer. They require soil temperatures between 75 - 90 degrees. Germination time is based on ideal conditions of soil warmth and a constant amount of moisture. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. At your earliest convenience, please reach out to us at 888-270-3714 if we can further assist.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to use via a simple spreader. The bright blue helps to make it easy to see where you've already spread the seed as well as approximate how much. I had sprouts showing up within a few days and a bare spot I had was filled in within a week or two.

Didn't work. I purchased 2 bags of this to cover my lawn for overseeding. The grass has not grown any. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that this worked for me. I watered the grass as directed twice per day. The first bag I purchased was not enough to cover the full lawn so I had to go back and purchase a second bag. It has been 30 days since I put the first bag down and I cannot tell any new growth in the lawn. Prior to putting this grassy down, I had the grass cut low, it was right and aerated. I thought that this would help the grass seed take root and grow quicker. Obviously I was wrong.

This grass grows as quickly as advertised! I started by killing everything with herbicide. Tilled the yard 2” deep, dropped the Rapid Grass Bermuda with a Scotts drop spreader and raked it under with a garden rake. Watered twice a day for ten minutes for two weeks, then went to once day. Four weeks later I have the best lawn on the block and I’m mowing twice a week!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After waiting weeks for a better weather, I decided to give these seeds a try, but unfortunately for me, they didn't germinate. I'll have to blame the extreme Texas weather that we're facing this year in top of watering restrictions imposed. I'll definitively give them another try.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say I really enjoyed this product. It was easy enough to use and the results came out just as expected. Maybe even worked a bit better than I anticipated. My grass was basically not grass anymore just weeds. So I cleaned it out and used this product. Now my grass area is starting to finally go back to normal and have grass. The grass itself is a good looking grass. I'd recommend this to all.
Great for reseeding in Spring

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Reseeding with Rabid grass is best done during spring months. If you dethatch your lawn, so and reseed afterwards, you’ll get a good coverage of new seedlings very quickly. Cost is reasonable especially if you don’t need specialized seed. It’s a mixture so please check ingredients before planting if necessary.
