The Sesame Street Elmo Hooray 3-in-1 Potty helps big kids tackle their toilet training adventure while having fun! Stage 1: Kick off potty training with the simple-to-use and easy-to-clean potty chair. Q: Does the seat just sit on the base once the tabs are in the holes or does it need to be locked in? It looks like I have it on right and it seems to be on securely but I was looking to see if it's suppose to be locked in place somehow.

  • A: Hi Krissy C--that's a great question! Once the waste tub is placed inside the base with the carry handle facing forward, all you have to do is align the seat into the base by inserting the four tabs into the holes. You won't hear a clicking noise. We hope this helps!

    Easy Clean 3 in 1 Potty

    This has been a great potty for my Elmo loving daughter! It’s very easy to clean with no splashing and is a great size - big enough for her but small enough to fit easily in our bathroom.     Missing an integral piece

    I bought this several months ago and just now opened it. It’s missing the waste cup! The toilet seat is just open to the floor. According to the manual, there should be a waste cup but there wasn’t one in the box. It’s useless without it

    More for girls

    Loved the idea and decoration. But the hole is way too small for my son’s bottom to fit. I had to keep adjusting him so he doesn’t pee out of the toilet and then his bottom would be sticking over the bowl. He loved the flush feature and would probably work just fine for a little girl.

    My toddler just turned 3 and he is big for his age in the 87th percentile, now that we are in this TT journey, on my 3rd TT seat , this is to small and he would pee right out of it ...the guard is to low...

    Not for boys

    Usless as my son can't pee in it unless he is leaning far forward. Don't get it if you have a boy. I wish I would have read these reviews. This splash guard is supposed to be for the splash? What about boys just peeing? It won't even gaurd the actual pee from a boy. I love everything else about it but my son can't learn to pee independently on his own with this toilet. And the continued accidents make it a slip hazard.

    He loves elmo but...

    The opening is too small and there are too many parts to this potty. Our boy loves elmo, and the flushing sound, but he also gets distracted by the red bucket handle and flings the entire toilet into 3 pieces. He also can't sit and pee because the splash guard leaves no room. We had to get a different potty :(

    Don't buy it

    It’s cute and it definitely got my toddler’s attention, but it’s SO impractical. The opening is way too small and the splash guard is totally ineffective. My son just turned two and he’s much too big for this. He has too sit way far back and lean forward for his pee to actually go in the potty and even then, it leaks out in between the seat and the splash guard. Absolutely hate this thing and really wish I could return it, not happy to have wasted $32 on what’s essentially a toy potty.

    Not for big toddlers

    If your child is tall or a big 2-3 year old like mine this will be too small! My son knows how to take it apart. It’s a cute potty but overall the seat is small. My son could not go to the bathroom without it coming out of front cup. Front cup is small as well. Do not recommend.

    Impractical sizing

    The sizing is completely impractical for an average toddler. The potty hole is too far back and not large enough. I could see this working for girls, but definitely not boys.

    Flush/sound does not work

    I purchased this for my daughter a few months back. She’s a huge Elmo fan! She wasn’t quite ready to potty train at the time, but I wanted to have it available for when she was. Well fast forward to now, she is ready to use it and the flush doesn’t work. I’ve changed out the batteries, nothing! Extremely disappointing as for any two year old the flush toggle with the sounds is important. So, I’ll be buying another Elmo seat sadly elsewhere…

    Cute but impractical

    Wanted to love it but it ended up not working for our family. My son liked it but it ended up being more like a toy than anything. He would shut the lid too hard and the flushing sound stopped working. He was constantly taking it apart. We ended up using a much more simpler potty that had less pieces and not as much fun to play with.

    SS Training Potty

    This potty chair is a great toilet training tool. I love that it has a "flush" function. The only issue I have is my toddler wants to keep "flushing" 🙃, but no fault of the product!!!
